The Houston Rockets got off the mat in Game 3 and managed to finally get a win. With a complete, balanced effort from their team, they edged the Portland Trail Blazers 128-116 in overtime. Can they surprise on the NBA odds once more in Game 4 and even up this best-of-seven series?

The Houston Rockets Can Win Because…
Every game in this series has been extremely tight and now they’ve finally found a way to get the job done. To be fair, Games 1 and 2 were just as close as Game 3. The only difference was that the Rockets made a few extra plays and got a few extra bounces that Portland got in the previous games. Otherwise, this series has been dead even. Now they just have to do the same thing in Game 4.

Also, the Rockets found a way to muzzle LaMarcus Aldridge in Game 3, which will be important to do again in Game 4. After he burned them for 46 and 43 in the first two games, he was limited to 23 in Game 3. If the Rockets can slow down one of the Blazers two big weapons – either Aldridge or Lillard – they’ll give themselves another good chance to win on the road.

Take a Look at the Trail Blazers vs. Rockets Series Price!

The Portland Trail Blazers Can Win Because…
They’ll protect their home court advantage. The Blazers are in a tight spot in Game 4. If they win, they take a 3-1 series chokehold. However, if they lose, they’ve blown a 2-0 series lead and now will have to head back to Houston without momentum. This is a young team that hasn’t been in this type of position before but this is the perfect growth opportunity. They’ll come together and seize the moment. Playing in front of their home audience will give them that extra boost they need.

Outlook & Pick
For whatever reason, the Rockets don’t have any issues playing at the Rose Garden. They’ve won five of their last seven trips there. And while the Blazers are short on playoff experience, it’s hard to see them blowing home court in two straight games. Look for them to execute a little better down the stretch and go up 3-1 in this series for our basketball picks.
