Kevin Durant and the Thunder are back at home, ready to wrap up the series in front of their fans. A win seems likely, but can they cover another big number? Find out where we believe the best value lies for our NBA picks.
Odds Overview

The NBA odds have Oklahoma City giving away 8.5 points to Houston tonight. In terms of spread performance, the two teams have split covers in the first four games of the series.

Another high total of 208 has been posted at the top sportsbooks. There have been two over hits and two under hits so far.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Well, the Thunder certainly had their chances to wrap up the sweep in Game 4, but the Rockets held their nerve down the stretch. Final score: Houston 105, Oklahoma City 103.

As a team, the Thunder shot 48.6 percent overall, 44.0 percent from three, and 88.0 percent from the line. They were, however, killed in the paint (outscored 44-22) and were also outmatched in fast break points.

Kevin Durant may have been a little sloppy with the ball, committing seven turnovers, but he was still a man among boys out there. KD had 38 points on 12-of-16 shooting and added eight rebounds and six assists.

Reggie Jackson, Kevin Martin, and Derek Fisher were the other three Thunder players to score in double figures. The three combined for eight threes, with Fisher hitting four himself.

Oklahoma City fans are clearly hoping this series ends tonight. When you consider the fact the Thunder have gone 28-15 ATS at home throughout the regular season and playoffs, it's going to take an all-around tremendous effort for Houston to get a W here.

Houston Rockets

It was a disastrous game for James Harden in Game 4, but he was bailed out by the likes of Chandler Parsons and Omer Asik.

Harden hit 4-of-12 shots for 15 points and added only three assists and one rebound to his line. He had an unheard of 10 turnovers in the victory, equaling the number of mistakes he made in the first three games of the series combined.

Parsons and Asik were there to pick up the slack though. Parsons had 27 points (11-of-21 FG), 10 rebounds, and eight assists, while Asik came through with 17 points and 14 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end.

Jeremy Lin was unavailable because of a bruised chest and is likely to be another game-time decision for tonight's game. Francisco Garcia will pick up another start should Lin not be able to go again.

The Rockets, though, really need everyone they can get. Backers will hope they can improve on their 3-7 ATS record over their last 10 overall and their 1-4 ATS mark in their previous five road contests.

Game 5 Pick

It's hard to envision the Rockets winning this game straight up, but we do think they have an excellent shot of covering the number.

Houston has battled hard throughout this series and that's not going to change tonight. Their backs are obviously against the wall and they're not going to go down easy.

The previous three games of this series, including Game 2 in Oklahoma City, have been decided by three points or less. We're looking for more of the same tonight and backing the Rockets with our NBA picks, expecting them to cash as near double-digit underdogs.

NBA Pick: Houston Rockets +8.5
