The Raptors just completed a home-and-road sweep of the Celtics, beating them 99-90 on the road before returning home to win 105-103 two nights later.
It wasn't the most convincing of efforts from Boston in the rematch. Toronto was leading by 14 at one point but the visitors made a comeback in the fourth quarter to make things very interesting.
With Kyle Lowry struggling – he finished with nine points on 4-of-13 shooting as well as six rebounds and five assists – DeMar DeRozan took it upon himself to take over offensively. He had 30 points on 12-of-27 shooting and added four assists, three boards and a steal.
Ahead of tonight, Lowry is probable with a store ankle suffering during Friday's contest, while Patrick Patterson (elbow) is considered questionable to make his return after missing 12 games with the ailment.
Toronto has been solid on the road this season, going 19-17 straight up. However, they've been an excellent team to back with your sports picks, going an impressive 24-12 ATS in 36 games away from home.
After a terrible road trip which saw them lose all four of their games, the Magic have returned home to win two in a row.
They first beat Portland 95-85 as 6.5-point underdogs in a terrific all-around performance, and three days later they escaped with a 110-105 overtime victory over Al Jefferson and the Bobcats.
A dominant effort on the glass was key to Orlando's victory over Charlotte. They out-rebounded the visitors 57-36, with Nikola Vucevic absolutely crushing the boards. He grabbed 23 rebounds overall, 10 of which came on the offensive end.
Vucevic finished with 24 points as well, but he wasn't the only one to contribute. Five other players hit double figures, with Jameer Nelson returning to put up a 11/8/4 line and Tobias Harris and Victor Oladipo combining for 29 points off the bench.
The overall disparity between Orlando's home and road records is astounding. They've won just four games on the road (4-34 SU) and are almost at .500 at home where they're 17-18 straight up and 19-16 ATS.
The Raptors may be gearing up for a playoff run and have obviously been playing the better basketball this season.
That being said, we feel the best NBA betting value for this evening's game will come in siding with Orlando. The Magic have already pulled off some great wins at home and tend to never go down without a fight in front of their own fans.
Orlando is also fully healthy again and that should help them contend with the Raptors. The combo of Harris and Oladipo off the bench should pose problems tonight, part of the reason we're thinking the Magic can cover as dogs here.
