Our expert NBA handicapper shares his top four totals on Tuesday’s card. Go inside before making any of your NBA picks today and enjoy his compelling betting preview.

Brooklyn Nets @ Orlando Magic
These NBA Eastern Conference rivals have met three times this season, each game went under the total, and there was only a combined 180.0 points scored per contest. The Nets were especially anemic offensively during those three encounters, averaging 84.0 points scored per game, and shooting 40.3%. Orlando has gone 8-3 under the total in its last eleven games, and 4-1 under during the previous four outings.

I’m going to have a lean toward this game being a low scoring affair. One of my Tuesday NBA picks will concur with that prediction.

Chicago Bulls @ Indiana Pacers
These NBA Central Division rivals will be meeting for the fourth time this season. During the first three head to head confrontations, neither team was effective offensively. Indiana shot just 40.2%, and Chicago was at an even worse 39.4%.

Chicago has gone 5-1 under the total in its previous six games, and that includes 3-0 during their last three outings. They averaged just 94.3 points scored, and shot an awful 40.1% in those previous three games. Chicago has also seen seven of its last 10 away games stay under the number.

Indiana has seen six of its previous seven at home go under the total, and that includes each of their last three. Those last three home outings averaged only a combined 182.4 points scored per game, and the Pacers held their opponents to a paltry 86.7 points per contest.

The current NBA odds provides a most favorable number for this wager.

Charlotte Hornets @ Philadelphia 76ers
Charlotte is coming off a 115-91 road win over Milwaukee in their previous outing. Charlotte has gone 24-10 (70.6%) under the total this season following an away game, and those thirty-four contests averaged 197.9 points scored per outing. The Hornets have faced Philadelphia twice this season, and held them to 93.5 points per game, and 40.2% shooting.

Philadelphia has gone 6-1 under the total in their previous seven games. They’ve certainly been a major contributor to those low scoring contests, averaging 97.1 points scored per game, and converted on just 41.0% of its field goal attempts.

Houston Rockets @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland hasn’t played since Saturday’s 107-93 win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. They’ve gone 9-1 under the total in its last ten games this season when playing on two or more days of rest. During those ten outings, Cleveland allowed only 89.4 points per game, and their opponents shot a terrible 39.8%.

The usually high scoring Rockets have been involved in some relatively lower scoring games of late, and especially so by their standards. Houston is 4-1 under the total during their previous five contests, and there was a combined 205.2 points scored per game. They’ve also seen each of their last three road games stay under the number. Houston faced Cleveland once this season, sustained a 91-77 home loss, and that game easily went under the total of 204.5.
