After a perfect parlay a night ago, I’m back with a newly stocked bankroll to take on Friday night’s NBA Picks. I have two more plays that I am intrigued by this evening, and like last night, they are both NBA Odds totals.

Pacers vs. Raptors
The Raptors have been one of the better stories in the Eastern Conference this season, but an injury to DeMar DeRozan has hurt their standings. Tonight however they are -8 ½ favorites in the NBA Odds, with a total of 198 ½. While the spread seems pretty sharp, the total is looking pretty high considering the two defenses.

While the Indiana Pacers probably won’t make the playoffs in the East, they are still a solid team up front. With their two big men healthy, they are a lot better at protecting the rim, and enforcing the post. That will be on full display tonight, as David West and Roy Hibbert battle Jonas Valanciunas and Amir Johnson. That should limit the points being scored enough, but the total is still way too high for these two teams.

The under is 5-1 for the Raptors in their last six games following an ATS win, and for the Pacers, the under is 4-1 in their last five games against a winning team. Expect a very slow and methodical game between these two. Indiana plays at the 28th pace in the NBA so far this year. Only Philadelphia and Detroit are playing slower, and while the Raptors have been playing very fast this season, I think Indiana will be able to slow down the Raptors enough to play the under.

NBA Pick: UNDER 198 at 5Dimes

Pistons vs. Suns
On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, the Pistons are playing in Phoenix tonight, and the NBA Odds have the Suns as -9 ½ favorites, with a total of 203 points. While the spread is so high that it’s virtually off limits, the total of 203 is inviting tonight.

Back in November we tried the over on these two teams from Detroit, and the slow playing Pistons cashed the under in a game in the 80s. However tonight in Phoenix, the pace should increase some. With Detroit’s new starting lineup putting Josh Smith at the power forward, the Pistons will play a lot faster than what they did in the first meeting. Plus, these two teams are both well-rested heading into this game.

Both teams haven’t played since Tuesday. While that may help defenses for some teams, with these two clubs it’s going to really play up the offense. There’s a chance Isaiah Thomas could also make his return tonight, which will help the Suns, but the rest for the healthy players is even better. The over has cashed in five of the last six games the Suns have had at least two days rest in between games, and the Pistons have cashed the over in four of their last five on two days rest. The Pistons should give up some points here on the road, and I am banking on my NBA pick this time around being a lot higher scoring.
