The Indiana Pacers stayed unbeaten with Friday’s 91-84 victory over the Toronto Raptors, while falling a bucket shy of cashing as 8 ½-point ‘chalk.’ How will they do for our NBA picks this evening?

Frank Vogel’s club now finds itself as a road dog from NBA odds makers in Saturday’s duel with the Brooklyn Nets.

Pacers, George top Toronto

Pacers forward Paul George continued his season’s tear in Toronto, notching 23 points and eight rebounds. The 23-year-old added six assists and two steals, while sinking 7-of-9 free throws.

Indiana’s George Hill connected 3-of-4 buckets beyond the arc, with mate Roy Hibbert knocking down 9-of-14 shots from the floor. The duo combined for 34 points, while Hibbert added two of his side’s six blocks.

UNDER backers collected with the battle’s 175 points dipping below the ‘total’ of 188, moving the wager to a 5-1 mark in Indiana’s six games. The Pacers rallied from an early 34-22 deficit to lead by as many as 16 points, holding Toronto to 39.5 percent field shooting.

Brooklyn falls as road ‘chalk’

The same night’s card saw Brooklyn stay winless on the road, with a 112-108 overtime loss to the Washington Wizards. Nets center Brook Lopez notched a team-high 23 points, while mate Andray Blatche came off the bench for 13 boards.

Brooklyn’s Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were held to season-lows of four points each, combining to hit 3-of-16 field buckets. The Nets out-rebounded Washington, 51-36, while being edged in fast break points, 22-11.

Lopez and Co. logged a sizable 21 turnovers, with six coming from Nets guard Deron Williams. Brooklyn blew a 14-point lead to drop the matchup as a 1 ½-point road favorite, while the contest’s 22 points in extra minutes lifted the duel OVER its ‘total’ of 198.

Saturday NBA picks of the Day~

Back the UNDER in Brooklyn

Brooklyn opened as a three-point favorite at The Greek, while the ‘total’ was first listed at 186 ½. Early wagers on Indiana and the UNDER shifted the numbers to 1 ½ and 186, respectively.

I am backing the UNDER here, looking for a close contest down the stretch in Saturday’s NBA betting.

The Clippers will face the Rockets, what will be the outcome?

Indiana has yet to break the century mark in scoring, while holding foes to 90.5 PPG in its two road spots. The Pacers struggled in January’s most recent trip to Brooklyn, connecting just 6-of-24 buckets beyond the arc in a 97-86 defeat.

Brooklyn has put up some of its best numbers at home, but faces its first back-to-back spot of the year following a tough overtime setback. Brook Lopez (2.6 BPG) and Roy Hibbert (4.67 BPG) should find themselves in a close fight, while both topping the Eastern Conference in blocks.

Indiana backers have seen their NBA picks on the UNDER cash at 5-1 in its last six contests played on no rest, while holding foes to 40 percent or below shooting away from home. Look for a back-and-forth affair here at Barclays Center, with points coming at a premium – giving the money to UNDER backers.
