The Indiana Pacers have been unable to move past their late-season struggles in the early going of the 2014 NBA playoffs, which will provide value on the Atlanta Hawks once again on Saturday. Let’s take a closer look at the NBA betting odds for Game 4 of this best-of-seven series in the Eastern Conference.

Continue to struggle
Indiana suffered a 98-85 defeat to Atlanta as 2-point road favorites in Game 3 Thursday night, while going 'under' the betting total of 187.5.

Pacers center Roy Hibbert continues to struggle on both ends of the floor, as he’s scored just 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the first three games of the series.

NBA handicappers will find that the franchise is 21-21 SU and 17-25 ATS on the road, since the start of the regular season.

In control
Atlanta is just two wins away from advancing to the conference semifinals, which would be an amazing feat for a group that landed the No. 8 seed and finished six games under .500 during the regular season.

The Hawks have won 15 of their last 17 games against the Pacers at this venue, but it’s important to point out that each team shot under 40 percent from the field last time out.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the squad is 6-9 SU and 7-8 ATS in postseason play.

Getting defensive
The Pacers will need to win this game on the defensive end, which is certainly a possibility, considering they ranked top five in the NBA in 11 different statistical categories on that end of the floor.

Indiana is holding Atlanta to 40.4 percent shooting in this series, which is actually below its league-leading opponent field goal percentage (42.0) in the regular season.

Moving the ball around
Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague leads all players with 64 points through the first three games, but he needs to create more opportunities for his teammates by moving the basketball around.

The Hawks averaged 24.9 assists heading into the postseason, but they’ve been limited to just 15.7 by the Pacers up to this point.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Hawks as one of their NBA playoff picks, as the Pacers are 4-8 SUATS as road favorites of three or fewer points.
