The Denver Nuggets (46-22) are ripping apart opposing defenses as they're currently riding a 12 game winning streak. Tonight, they take on possibly the 2nd best team in the NBA in the OKC Thunder (50-17). This game is a literal "Clash of the Titans".

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm ET at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This game can also be seen on NBA TV. Believe me folks, you won't want to miss it!

A Trap or Respect?

The NBA odds makers have created the Oklahoma City Thunder as a 9.5 point betting favorite and the total for the game is 215.5. We already know that OKC is virtually unstoppable, but to be almost a double digit favorite against a team that's won 12 straight games is the definition of respect.

Let’s breakdown this matchup from a betting point of view and decide where the best value lies for our NBA picks.

What makes Denver's streak so special is that they don't have a definitive superstar on their team like Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook, and they just keep continue winning. Tonight is the ultimate test for Rocky Mountain crew.

Durant and Westbrook

When the Nuggets hit the Chesapeake Energy Arena hardwood, these two players will be consuming the minds of each and every Denver player.

Oklahoma City ranks 1st in the NBA in points, scoring an impressive 106.7 points per game. What makes the combination of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook so special is that they're always there for eachother whether both players play well or one of them plays well. I can't recall the last time that neither of them played well.

The Thunder are coming off of a 107-101 victory over Dallas in which both Durant and Westbrook scored over 30 points. Add in an outstanding game by Serge Ibaka in which he collected 16 rebounds and 3 blocks and the results were inevitable.

Westbrook and Durant are good enough to win a game by themselves, but against a team that's loaded with confidence like Denver, it will take the help of Ibaka, Perkins, Sefolosha, and Martin. They are indeed the "X Factor" in tonight's game

Denver is a deep team and OKC will need to match them depth-wise to snap the streak.

Who Will it Be Tonight?

Denver is coming off of a huge 119-118 victory over the Chicago Bulls in overtime on Monday and there's no time to rest as they take on one of the best.

Wilson Chandler was the star against Chi-Town as he poured in a game high 35 points along with 9 rebounds off of the bench. Chandler was a star in China during the NBA Lockout. Denver doesn't have any egos, but Chandler has shown that he's capable of going "ham" on many teams in the US and across the world.

Old Reliable

When you think of the Nuggets, you think of Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari, and Kenneth Faried, but you rarely think of veteran Andre Miller. Miller has slipped under the radar throughout his illustrious career. He can score, rebound, and is high on the list of all-time assist leaders in the NBA.

Miller does whatever needs to be done and can come up big from time to time. Against the Bulls, he had 8 points, 13 assists, and 6 rebounds. This is the type of player that does the intangibles and is a key factor in Denver's winning streak. Look for Miller to play well in this game. Experience can carry a player a long way.

I know that Denver hasn't been the best team on the road and they're playing one of the best in the Thunder, but 9.5 points are very alluring for a team that's won 12 straight games. Denver is a very appealing pick and I suggest that you add it to your betting picks for Tuesday.
