When they're in sync, CP3 and Blake Griffin are a difficult combination to stop, especially on their home floor. Do the Nets have the answer in stopping this dynamic duo?

The Brooklyn Nets one remaining goal is to get past the New York Knicks and they'll face the stiff challenge tonight of dealing with the Los Angeles Clippers. In their last game, the Clips gave up a mere 72 points to the Phildelphia 76'ers.

Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 pm ET at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

5 Dimes Sportsbook currently lists the Clippers as an 8 point NBA Odds favorite and the total for the game is 193.5.

How Far Can This Team Go?

This is only opinion of course, but after a beating that I saw the Clippers take against the San Antonio Spurs over a month ago, I began to think something that I already knew; CP3 is overrated.

He's good enough to deal with roughly 90% of the point guards in the NBA mind you, but when it comes to elite point guards like Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook, he doesn't compare.

Paul has taken a once bottom feeding franchise to the best team in Los Angeles, but he's not a consistent superstar that can be counted on for 25 points per night when his team is having a rough game.

In a matchup against Deron Williams, Chris Paul can do the job and I expect him to, but look for Williams to also play well as the Nets are starting to hit their stride as they've clinched a playoff berth in their first season at Brooklyn and they matchup fairly well against a Clippers team that can be inconsistent at times.

The Clippers definitely have the advantage at home, but 8 points is a lot to give against the likes of Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, and Joe Johnson.

Breakout Season

Forward, Reggie Evans, has really come into his own this season. He may lack the hair dye, but he's the closest thing to Dennis Rodman that we've seen since Rodman's retirement.

Evans can score, but he looks to avoid shooting at all costs and is a rebounding machine. Evans is coming off of a 22 rebound performance in a win over Dallas. In his last 5 games, Evans is averaging 7.8 points and 15.8 rebounds per game. This includes 2 games of 20 rebounds or more. Brook Lopez and Deron Williams are the stars of Brooklyn, but Evans is the "X Factor" that brings them wins.

It will be interesting to see how Evans deals with LA. Blake Griffin and Lamar Odom can both control the boards, but Evans is on a major tear as of late.

I'm Coming Home!

We all know of the popular song, but in Brook Lopez's case, he literally is coming home to Southern California. Look for a strong game out of Lopez. Nobody on the Clippers roster can contain him with his size an offensive ability. Lopez is coming off of a 38 point, 11 rebound performance against Dallas and expect a huge game out of him tonight.

The Nets are starting to come into their own and I think that they match up well against the Clippers. They have the right combination of players to give Los Angeles trouble. The Clippers are a tough team at times, but sometimes you don't know which Clippers group will show up. I'm banking on a tight game. Take the points for this NBA Picks.
