We have a short card tonight, so NBA bettors have to search for value in any place we can.

I’ve already given you my pick on the Nets and Sixers game tonight, but let’s take a look at some other options for our NBA Picks of the day, as we try to decide which ones are right for our betting card tonight.

Thunder vs. Spurs

The Spurs host the Thunder this evening, and they are without the services of Tony Parker. However, as Parker is still healing from his ankle injury, the Thunder are coming into this game having played yesterday afternoon. NBA bettors must also take into consideration that this will be Oklahoma City’s fourth game in five nights, something that hasn’t’ faired well for teams this season.

Fading teams that are playing on their 4th game in 5 nights is a model for making money this season. The Thunder have owned the Spurs recently, and including last year’s playoffs and two games this season, the Thunder are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games against the Spurs. They are 1-0-1 ATS against the Spurs this season.

However, I think that all of this will change tonight. OKC didn’t look great against the Celtics yesterday, and I think their winning streak is about to come to an end. The Spurs are 7-1 SU in their last eight home games against the Thunder. They will make it 8-1 after tonight.

My NBA Pick: Spurs -2

Nuggets vs. Suns

One of our late games this evening features the Suns and Nuggets from the desert. The Nuggets come into this game having been installed as -9 point road favorites by the NBA odds makers, with a total of 209.5.

Neither team had to play on Sunday, so who should we back tonight, so with both squads rested, who should we look to with our sports picks in this situation?

Neither teams is very good ATS in this situation, as the Suns are only 11-20 ATS at home this season, while the Nuggets are only 17-16 ATS on the road in 2012-2013. The Suns might be getting back Jermaine O’Neal tonight, however, they will still be without their star big man, Marcin Gortat.

That’s why I’m siding with the Over this evening. The Nuggets hemorrhage points on the road this season, as the over has hit in 22 of their 33 road games this season. Even though the Suns don’t cash the over hardly at all at home, I think tonight will be a higher scoring affair. In two games without Gortat, the Suns have scored 112 and 107 points in those two games respectfully, and they have given up 121 and 105 in those same games.

These two faced one another earlier in the season in Phoenix, and the score ended in a 110-100 win for the Suns. I think we might see even more scoring here tonight, so take the Over.

My NBA Pick: OVER 209 at 5Dimes
