Game 1 of this series saw a defensive battle, as the final score ended up at 91-79 in favor of the Spurs. Should NBA bettors expect a similar outcome in Game 2, or are we smart to look elsewhere with our NBA picks?

Now that the Spurs have a 1-0 series lead, the Lakers will try and tie up the series before they head back to LA for Game 3. The NBA Odds for this one favor the Spurs at -8 ½, with a total of 186 points. After the low scoring Game 1, should we expect more of the same, or will we see an offensive turnaround in this game?

Even though I wouldn’t fault anyone for laying the points with the Spurs again here, I see much more value in the total. After the low scoring Game 1, the books overcorrected the total and dropped it a whole five or six points from where it was in Game 1. Now with the extra value on our side, the over is where I’m going with my NBA Picks.

These two teams still don’t; match up well with one another, and that will eventually lead to offense. Both teams averaged well over 102 points per game scored this season, and that is the style of game I think we are about the see. Even though the under is trending over their last four meetings, I see the over making an appearance.

During the regular season, the Lakers were one of the best 'over' bets of any teams. They were 44-37-1 cashing the over during the first 82 games of the season. I see the Spurs taking advantage of a poor Lakers defense in Game 2, and I also see the total going way over. As I mentioned in my NBA Picks of the Day article, I see a 104-96 type of game here tonight. I think both teams will implore the fast break more in Game 2, and I believe that betting the over is the best option for our sports picks tonight. Best of luck to you!
