In the eyes of the oddsmakers, it's irrelevant that the Knicks have been on a lengthy winning streak. They're still the large underdogs for today's game, getting 7.5 or 8 points as dogs.
The total varies depending on the NBA betting site, but for the most part it's in and around the 195.5-196 area. The UNDER has cashed in four consecutive meetings between Oklahoma City and New York.
New York Knicks
It's been an amazing few weeks for the Knicks. They've won 11 straight games, a streak that includes victories over Miami and Memphis, and are 10-1 ATS in that span.
New York has won four straight by at least 12 points, including that 102-90 win over a shorthanded Heat team. The Knicks have been off since Friday's 101-83 home win over Milwaukee, a game in which they easily covered as seven-point favorites.
Successful on both ends of the floor, New York was in control throughout against the Bucks. They held their opponents to 38.2 percent shooting and shot 46.1 percent themselves.
Carmelo Anthony continued his unstoppable offensive onslaught, finishing with 41 points on 17-of-28 shooting and 14 rebounds in the win. J.R. Smith added 30 points and 10 rebounds in close to 34 minutes off the bench.
Melo has scored at least 40 points in three straight games. Can he keep the streak alive in another high-profile game this afternoon?
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder have recovered, after losing two tough games to Denver and Memphis, by winning six of their last eleven.
Three straight wins over quality competition will have Oklahoma City liking their chances of bringing New York's winning streak to an end. The Thunder have taken care of Milwaukee (109-99), San Antonio (100-88), and Indiana (97-75) in their three most recent appearances.
The victory over the Pacers was the most impressive. They held Indiana to 37.5 percent shooting, including a 9.5 percent mark (2-of-21) from beyond the arc.
Kevin Durant (34 points and nine rebounds) and Russell Westbrook (24 points, nine assists, seven boards) were the catalysts as usual, as they combined to shoot 23-of-45 from the field in the victory. Oklahoma City was also in complete control on the glass, out-rebounding a big Indiana lineup 53-31.
The Thunder have now gone 5-1 ATS in their previous six games overall and will be looking to improve their 24-8 ATS mark over their last 32 at home.

Defense has been integral to the recent success of both teams, as the Knicks have allowed 89.2 PPG and the Thunder 88.6 PPG over each team's last five contests.
However, we're tossing those statistics out the window as we simply think we'll see offense take center stage today.
Some of the NBA's best scorers will be on the court today, with Durant, Melo, Westbrook, and Smith all capable of lighting up the scoreboard. All four are able to hit tough shots, no matter how good the defense is.
Many will be on the UNDER for this early battle, but we're going the other way and siding with the OVER for our sports picks.
