The Jazz won last night, but they could in for a world of pain tonight when they take on Chris Paul and the Clippers as huge underdogs.

Odds Overview

This one could get ugly folks, at least that's what oddsmakers are thinking. They've put out a line of 13.5, with the Clippers obviously the favorites. The O/U ranges from 201 to 202.

Coming in L.A. has gone 20-11 SU and 19-12 ATS, while Utah is 9-23 SU and 13-18-1 ATS for the season.

Check out more NBA betting lines at!
[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":251433, "sportsbooksIds":[43], "LineTypeId":2, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]
Utah Jazz

It came down to the wire, but the Jazz narrowly escaped with a two-point win over the Lakers last night. They did however fall barely short of covering as 3.5-point favorites on the NBA odds board.

Standout performances from Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors paced Utah in their win. Hayward scored 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting and added nine assists, five rebounds and three steals in a team-leading 38 minutes of action. Favors had 18 points and 14 rebounds in 33 minutes.

As a team the Jazz shot 45.5 percent overall and 39.1 percent from beyond the arc, while out-rebounding the Lakers 43-37.

With the victory, Utah moved to 3-2 SU (2-3 ATS) over their previous five, while going an even 5-5 SU in their last 10.

On the road, the Jazz have gone 5-13 straight up and 8-9-1 against the spread. They have however done a little better in that respect lately, going 4-3 SU (with wins over Denver, Charlotte, Orlando and Sacramento) in their past seven outside of Salt Lake City.

Los Angeles Clippers

Looking to extend their five-game winning streak, the Clippers instead dropped consecutive road contests to Golden State (103-105) and then Portland (112-116).

It was an overtime thriller against the Trail Blazers. Overall, L.A. shot 44.5 percent and 40.0 percent from the three-point range. They completely torched Portland in the post, out-scoring the home team 54-22 inside.

Blake Griffin led the charge in the frontcourt with 35 points (15-of-27 FG) and 11 rebounds. DeAndre Jordan may have scored only two points, but he hauled down 19 rebounds and also swatted away two shots.

However, it was Chris Paul that was the lifeline of the Clippers in the close loss. He hit big shot after shot and ended up with a game-high 34 points to go along with 16 dimes and six steals. CP3 also turned the ball over just once.

After that short yet tough road trip, the Clippers will be happy to get back to sunny L.A., where they haven't lost since December 1st.

NBA Pick

Los Angeles returns home after a couple incredibly tough road games and we fully expect them to come out and dominate from start to finish against this young Utah team.

The Jazz could be pretty tired after a hard-fought win just last night and they haven't done too well in the second games of back-to-backs this season, having won only three of nine games so far.

On the other hand, you've got the Clippers, who are 12-2 SU and have posted a solid 11-6 ATS record in 17 home contests this year. We feel as if they'll come out and show the Jazz a thing or two en route to an easy win for our NBA picks.

NBA Pick: Clippers -13.5
