Two conflicting styles will meet tonight when the Cavaliers visit Jazz. The Jazz like to control tempo, Cleveland will most likely try to push the pace. See my NBA pick inside.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Utah Jazz
NBA odds makers have come out making Utah a +6 underdog like at Bookmaker -105. Despite the fact that Cleveland has Utah a bit overmatched for one of my NBA picks I will back the Jazz plus the points to keep this game close. I believe they will control the pace like they normally do and take this game to a tight finish.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Prior to their win last night versus the Los Angeles Clippers scoring 114 points the Cleveland Cavaliers scored 120 points in their previous three wins getting up tempo in all of them. I've mentioned this before which is really the key to the Cleveland Cavaliers offense and that is if they can get up tempo they are extremely difficult to beat. In their last several wins they have been averaging well over their season average of 83.9 field-goal attempts per game and when they are able to do that they are very tough, last night they went for 84 attempts versus LAC.

However, teams that can stifle them give them trouble for example in their loss to the Memphis Grizzlies the only got up 80 field-goal attempts. Tonight this could spell some trouble for them as they face a Utah team that not only plays great defense but has been very good at controlling the pace.

Utah Jazz
Prior to their win last night Utah had lost eight of their last 10 games and average the least amount of field goals attempted per game in the NBA. Utah not only ranks first in the least amount a shot attempts they also rank second in the league allowing opponents to get up only 79.7 field-goal attempts per game. This goes along with that they rank third in the NBA allowing opponents just 35.8 field goals made per game. There is not a lot of offensive firepower on Utah but they are decently efficient ranking 15th in the NBA in shooting efficiency and they do shoot 35.2% from beyond the arc which ranks 12th.

They play good defense which is a combination of tough rebounding and controlled pace. Utah ranks first in the NBA in opponent assists per game and third in the NBA in opponent total rebounds per game. This is the type of team that could really give Cleveland a lot of trouble especially coming off a back to back, don't be shocked if Utah pulls the upset.
