The Hornets (46-33) are playing for playoff positioning with The Celtics and The Heat. The Hornets face the Wizards who don't much incentive for them in this game. Which will be out NBA Pick on the game?

Tip-off is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. EST today at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. According to Bookmaker, the Hornets are a 5.5 point betting favorite on NBA Odds and the total for the game is listed at 206.5.

Kembe Walker
The Hornets start and stop with the native of the Bronx, New York as he's having his best year of his career. Lately, Kemba has been on fire and whoever the Hornets match up with in the playoffs will have a tall order in guarding the 6 foot tall Walker. Kemba Walker has always been elite at penettration, but he's really been drilling his outside shot as of late.

In his last 2 games, Walker is averaging 28 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and is a red hot 11 of 21 from beyond the arc. For the season, Walker is averaging 21.2 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. These are very good rebounding numbers for a man so small in stature physically. The key here is that there will be no John Wall for Walker to deal with. He'll be dealing with Ramon Sessions and although Sessions is a respectable NBA player, he's not in the class of Walker.

I expect to see a lot of Jeremy Lin in this game as Lin is a producer  coming off of the bench and the Hornets should have an easy time in dealing with a team in Washington, who has absolutely nothing to play for.

The Wizards are a talented team with the likes of of John Wall, Bradley Beal, Otto Porter Jr. and Marcin Gortat, but I don't expect them to be playing with a full squad and that's basically the difference in this ball game.

This is a fantastic spot for the Hornets to get the jump on the Celtics and Heat and moving up in the Eastern Conference as they look forward to  the playoffs.

Charlotte is coming off of back to back victories against both New York teams and the travel to "D.C." shouldn't bean issue.

Nicolas Batum
Coming back from injury will be 6 foot 8 shooting guard, Nicolas Batum. The Hornets will probably limit Batum's playing time as they don't want to see him get re-injured in a basically meaningless game.

Batum has been a stud ever since moving from Portland to Charlotte. With players such as Walker dishing Batum the rock, his NBA production has increased dramatically. Batum isn't a player that will score 40 points, but due to his size and ability to pass the basketball, he's the most well-rounded player and 2nd best player on the Hornets squad.

For the season, the Frenchman is averaging 15.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. These are amazing numbers and it also helps that Batum doesn't have to share the rock with LaMarcus Aldridge as he had to do in Portland.

As stated before, Charlotte has everything to play for and even though they're on the road, they should blow the Wizards out of the building, so there's no wonder why we'll make them our NBA Pick for this game.
