Will Dallas continue their home dominance, or will the Hawks come in and get a much needed road win? Let our free NBA picks help you cash in big tonight.

The Mavs are starting to get things together now that Dirk Nowitzki is back and seemingly fully healthy, and tonight they welcome in the Hawks. The NBA odds makers have opened Dallas as a -4 favorite in this game with a large total of 204 ½.

Everything is better in Texas

Dallas has been starting to put things together nicely over the last few weeks, and it starts in Dallas. Over their last eight home games, the Mavs are 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS during that time period. Plus, the Mavs have covered in three of their last four games overall against the Hawks.

They have yet to play this season, but Atlanta has already had some trouble on the road this season, and going into Dallas is not going to help. The Hawks are 1-8 SU in their last nine road games, and 3-6 ATS in that span.

Dallas owns the Hawks in their history dating back several years. Dallas is 18-7 SU against the Hawks in their last 25 meetings, and 6-1 SU on their last seven meetings against Atlanta in Dallas.

Dallas still sits six games out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference, but this team looks poised to make a run, and a victory tonight sould help them close the gap.

The Sharp Pick

Tonight, I think the Mavs will be too much for the Hawks to overcome. As I mentioned above, the Hawks have really hit a wall when going on the road recently. If Dallas can control the tempo and get to the free throw line plenty, they will win this game easily. The Mavs are one of the league’s best free throw shooting teams, and if they can get both Josh Smith and Al Horford in foul trouble, it should be all over. Take the Mavs and add them to your sports picks.

My Pick: Mavs -4
