The Houston Rockets have fallen into an alternating pattern of wins and losses, as they prepare to host the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday night.

Let’s take a closer look at the NBA betting lines for this Western Conference matchup at the Toyota Center, with the opening tip scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on TNT.

Memphis has put together its first winning streak since winning four in a row from Nov. 15-20, as it comes off a 104-94 victory over the Utah Jazz as 6.5-point home favorites Monday.

The Grizzlies have compiled a 25-48 SU all-time record against the Rockets, including a terrible 6-30 mark when playing on the road.

It’s important to point out that the franchise is 3-10 SU/ATS as underdogs this season, with the OVER going 7-6 in that situation.

A huge win

Houston picked up its biggest win of the season on Christmas Day, as it came away with a 111-98 victory over the San Antonio Spurs as 7.5-point road underdogs, while going UNDER the betting total of 212.5.

The Rockets welcomed back leading scorer James Harden to the lineup, as he finished with 28 points after missing the two previous games with an ankle injury.

Harden didn’t play in Houston’s 93-86 victory over Memphis as one-point road favorites on Nov. 25.

Division blues

Memphis is 0-7 SUATS versus Southwest Division opponents this season, with the OVER going 5-2 in those seven opportunities.

The Grizzlies have gone 5-9 since starting center Marc Gasol went down with a knee injury, while they’ve battled through numerous injuries to other key players throughout the year.

Quite a record

NBA handicappers need to take a long look at the home favorites in this spot, as the Rockets have put together a remarkable 32-7 SU record at home during the month of December.

Houston is outscoring opponents by an average of 9.2 points per game inside this building—shooting 47.7 percent from the floor.
