Free NBA picks for Friday night's playoff matchups. Have the NBA odds makers left us any value on the boards tonight.

Friday night’s NBA betting might as well be called “May Madness” with four Game 6 battles on the board. Where are the best NBA picks to make as the “must win” and “closeout” scenarios take shape?

New York Knicks at Boston Celtics

Boston avoided a series ‘burial’ with Wednesday’s 92-86 upset of the Knicks, collecting as a nine-point road dog. The Celtics shot 11-of-22 from three-point land, while holding New York to 39.5 percent field shooting. opened the Knicks as 1 ½-point road ‘chalk’ in Friday’s rematch, while first setting the ‘total’ at 181 ½. Early sports picks on New York and the OVER moved the digits to two and 182, respectively.

I am backing Boston as a home dog here, feeling some momentum has shifted in the set. Sunday’s 97-90 win for the Celtics in Game 4 at TD Garden moved Doc Rivers’ club to 14-6 ATS in its last 20 home dates, while the underdog now has a 4-1 spread record in the last five meetings between these rivals.

NBA Pick:   Boston Celtics +2 at Bookmaker

Indiana Pacers at Atlanta Hawks

Indiana pulled away in Game 5 with a 106-83 win as seven-point home ‘chalk,’ out-rebounding the Hawks, 51-28. The victory moved the home team to a 5-0 ATS mark in the series, while the combined 189 points lifted the OVER to 4-1.

Atlanta opened as a 1 ½-point home favorite for Game 6’s matchup at Bovada, while the ‘total’ was first posted at 188. I am going to keep riding the home cooking here, adding a ticket on the Hawks as short faves.

Indiana was held to a dismal 80 PPG when visiting the Hawks in Games 3 and 4, shooting just 32.7 percent from the floor over the pair of duels. The losses moved the Pacers to a 0-4 ATS mark in their last four road games, while Atlanta has notched a 13-6 spread record in its last 19 spots that followed a defeat of 10 points of more.

NBA Pick:  Atlanta Hawks – 1½ at Bovada

Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets

Houston logged its second straight victory with Wednesday’s 107-100 triumph over OKC, pulling off a road upset as an 8 ½-point dog. Rockets guard James Harden piled in 31 points, while Omer Asik came away with 21 points and 11 boards.

The NBA odds opened Oklahoma City as a one-point road favorite, while early wagers on Houston shifted the Rockets to be one-point home ‘chalk.’  The ‘total’ saw initial UNDER action drop its first listing of 208 down to 206 ½.

I am tailing the early steam, backing Houston at a low premium here. The Thunder have not been the same since guard Russell Westbrook’s knee injury took the three-time All-Star out of action.

Houston is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 home meetings with Oklahoma City, while logging a 5-2 spread mark in its last seven home dates against clubs with winning road records.

NBA Pick:  Houston Rockets -1 at BetOnline

Los Angeles Clippers at Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis sent the series back to its floor with a 3-2 lead thanks to Tuesday’s 103-93 victory over the Clippers, cashing as a 5 ½-point road dog. Grizzlies mates Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol united for 46 points and 19 rebounds, while guard Mike Conley logged six of his side’s 25 assists.

The Grizzlies opened as six-point favorites for Friday’s rematch at 5Dimes, while the betting shop first listed the ‘total’ at 180 ½. Early ‘steam’ on Memphis and the UNDER moved the numbers a ‘hook’ each to 6 ½ and 180, respectively.

I am backing the OVER here, with the octane in this series cashing the wager at a 4-1 clip, thus far. Memphis shot 50.6 percent from its floor in Game 4 and should bring even more momentum here, making this duel have its share of running and gunning.

NBA Pick:  OVER 180 at 5Dimes
