Bucks vs. Bulls
Chicago should have another easy win here to boost their record heading into the playoffs, and the NBA Odds for tonight’s game concur with that statement. The spread is locked in at -11 ½ in favor of the home team, with a total of 185 ½. While I think the spread is completely off limits this late in the season, the total looks really valuable tonight. While most of the games between these two have been more defensive in nature, I think the total of 185 ½ looks primed for an over bet tonight.
This is the highest total these two teams have seen this season, as this will be their fourth time facing one another this season. Even though in previous matchups, the total has gone under, I see this one heading north of the total for a few reasons.
Milwaukee is giving up a ton of points right now, and even though they have two good defensive showings against the Heat recently, I doubt they have one here against the Bulls.
Even though they have two scores against Miami in their last ten games that are pretty good in the points they allowed, in their last ten games, the Bucks are still giving up almost 109 points per game. The Bucks have been cashing the over on the road recently as well, with the total going over in five of their last seven road games. Tonight they aren’t playing the Heat, and I expect the Bulls to pile it on at home. The over is 15-9 in the Bucks’ last 24 games.
My Pick: OVER 185 ½
Suns vs. Blazers
The Suns are currently tied in record for the 8th seed in the West, however they do not own the tiebreaker over the Grizzlies, who are also in action tonight. The Suns need a Memphis loss and a win on the road here against the Blazers to move back into sole possession of the 8th seed. That is easier said that done, as the NBA Odds have the Suns as +4 ½ underdogs here against the Blazers, while the Grizzlies are at home against the Nuggets as -9 favorites.
However crazier things in the NBA have happened than the Suns making the playoffs, but the spread is not where I’m going tonight for my NBA Picks of the day. The total of 213 instead looks much more valuable, and I think it’s time again for an over bet.
This is only the third meeting between these two, and both of the first two were in November. A lot has changed for both teams since then, however their ability to score has not evaded them. Despite the Suns being one of the better under bets over the last month, I think the over is once again the play, because the total could be underfunded.
The over has cashed in the last two games for the Blazers, and it’s cashed in seven of their last 11 games overall. Because it’s the Suns, who have cashed the under at 7-2 in their last nine games, I think the sportsbooks are undervaluing the total. At 213, these two teams could easily both get at least 107 points tonight to cash the over.
My Pick: OVER 213
