The four heavy favorites tonight are Oklahoma City (-12 vs. Sacramento), Minnesota (-11 vs. LA Lakers), Toronto (-9.5 vs. Boston) and Brooklyn (-8.5 vs. Cleveland). Read on below to see our odds breakdown for the upcoming hoops action.

New York Knicks vs. Phoenix Suns

Covered by Jason Lake
Things are getting mighty interesting in the Eastern Conference playoff race, at least when it comes to the battle for the eighth seed.

The Knicks have pulled to within 1.5 games of the Hawks and could do themselves a lot of favors with a win in Phoenix tonight. The Suns are on a great run right now, having won five straight games to push them back into the eighth seed. Jason will have his pick up for viewing shortly.

Pick: Suns -5.5

Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons
Covered by Jordan Sharp
The Heat have fallen three games back of the Pacers for the top spot in the East, but you have to think they'll get the better of the Pistons in Detroit. Right now Miami is favored by 6.5 points.

Detroit has been a total disaster throughout the season and nothing has changed recently, with the team going 2-8 SU over their last 10. Jordan has a tough call on his hands and we'll see what he has to say soon.

Pick: Pistons +5.5

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Chicago Bulls
Covered by Jordan Sharp
Right now the Bulls and Raptors are dead even at 40-31 SU for the year. Chicago can keep the pressure on with a win over Portland tonight, and oddsmakers do have the Bulls favored by 4.5 to 5 points.

The Trail Blazers have struggled recently, winning only four times over their past 10 games, but they did just get LaMarcus Aldridge back and that's a massive boost. Nonetheless, Jordan is thinking Chicago is the better play at home, where they've gone 23-13 SU.

Pick: Bulls -4.5

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Covered by Ron Patrick
It only gets worse for the Lakers. Their miseries were compounded last night in a loss to a Milwaukee team that's won just 14 games all season long. How will they fare against Kevin Love and the Timberwolves on this back-to-back?

Not too well in Ron's opinion. He thinks Minnesota, 20-14 SU at home this year, will dominate tonight's contest and cover the double-digit spread.

Pick: Timberwolves -11.5

San Antonio Spurs vs. Denver Nuggets
Covered by Ron Patrick
The winning streak has reached 15 games for the Spurs. They're built up a pretty comfortable three-game cushion on the second-place Thunder and tonight they'll be favored (on the road) over Ty Lawson and the Nuggets.

Pretty tough to fade a team as hot as San Antonio, which is why Ron is backing Gregg Popovich's experienced bunch to grab their 16th straight victory and cash ATS as well.

Pick: Spurs -6.5
