The NBA Odds makers have once again made the Warriors a small road favorite. Will Golden State get this crucial road win or will the Thunder roll them again?

The NBA Odds have made the Warriors a -1.5 favorite like at Pinnacle Sports -108. For my NBA pick I am going to back the Warriors to make the right adjustments and win this game four. The Thunder have been looking tremendous but I expect a maximum effort from the league’s best team.

OKC Thunder
In game three the Thunder shot 50% from the floor and 32% from distance scoring 133 points with only 12 turnovers. This was the worst beating I have seen put on the Warriors in two seasons as the game really looked like men vs. boys. OKC did everything right and Golden State everything wrong on both sides of the floor but I have trouble believing the same scenario for Game 4

The Thunder dominated every category most notably rebounds 62-48 and points in the paint 62-44, however it is the shooting percentages that really has my attention. It is not so surprising that OKC had a solid night from the floor but this is something the Warriors can work with and adjust.

I have faith that defensive coach Ron Adams who coached both Durant and Westbrook to make some solid adjustments to make things a bit more uncomfortable for them tonight. As well, this line really seems a bit off making Golden State any kind of favorite seem wrong. Still, odds makers don’t make many bad lines this deep into the season so expect them to reap the benefits on Golden State while everyone else jumps the shark too soon on the Warriors.

Golden State Warriors
In game three the Warriors shot 41% from the floor and just 30% from distance while turning the ball over 14 times. As mentioned they looked out of sorts for the most part of game three and were simply outplayed by OKC across the board. However, if we have learned anything from playoff basketball past is that once games are over the next game comes right up and good teams have short memories.

The telltale sign for me that Golden State was out of sorts can be illustrated by one statistic, assists. On the year the Warriors led the NBA averaging almost 29 per game but just had 19 in game three. This team is really unselfish and loves to share the basketball but their usual formula of turning defense into offense and making the extra pass was put on hold by the more motivated and hot shooting Thunder.

This is a classic bounce back spot for one of the best teams of all time and although I backed OKC in game three I think odds makers are not going to hand out any free money which puts the smart money on backing the small road favorite. Expect the Warriors to come out with a chip on their shoulder tonight.
