We are eager to share our NBA pick ATS for Clippers vs. Rockets tonight, as Houston are looking for their third straight victory while avoiding a 7th consecutive defeat at the hands of LA.

LA Clippers (37-20 SU, 24-33 ATS)
The Clips reeled off four consecutive wins, all of which were ATS covers, before they bowed 90-87 to Memphis as 3 ½ point home favorites in NBA odds on Monday night. The team is currently occupying the sixth playoff seed in the Western Conference but there is a logjam that could see them leapfrog their rivals if they can play winning basketball as the homestretch of the season commences.

The Clippers are designed to score buckets in bunches and they have done exactly that this season averaging nearly 107 points per game (ranked 2nd) and are 3rd in the NBA for assists per game with 24.3. However, their lack of rebounding and defense has been their weakness and they desperately need help on the boards as DeAndre Jordan appears to be the only Clipper doing the dirty work on the glass.

Jordan has been immense over the last five games averaging 18.4 points and 19.4 rebounds but his free throw shooting has been atrocious. Jordan has been getting plenty of attention down low and opponents are intentionally fouling him in order to get him to the charity stripe. Jordan will once again play a crucial role in the outcome of this pivotal contest.

Our NBA Picks of the day include Clippers vs. Rockets!

Houston Rockets (38-18 SU, 32-23-1 ATS)
After dropping three of four the Rockets have lifted off over the last two games with dominant victories and ATS covers in NBA odds over the Raptors and Timberwolves by scores of 98-76 and 113-102 respectively. As James Harden goes so too go the Houston Rockets. Harden has been phenomenal since he was shipped from Oklahoma City to Houston as his 26.1 scoring average since coming to the Rockets will attest.

However since putting on a Rockets uniform the 6’5” shooting guard has averaged only 17.9 points per game in the seven matchups against the Clippers. That is his lowest average against any NBA franchise and he has been ice cold this season in Houston’s two losses against LA going 5 of 12 in their 102-85 loss November 12th and then 3 of 12 in their 110-95 defeat on February 11th of this year. In that most recent loss Harden had back-to-back 40 point games but then suffered his lowest scoring performance of the season with only nine points in the road loss to the Clippers.

Tonight’s NBA Pick
The big key in this contest is the absence of LA’s 6’10” power forward Blake Griffin. The Clips have gone 4-2 without his services but much of that has been due to a herculean effort by DeAndre Jordan. While LA will be without a key player the Rockets have welcomed Terrence Jones back in the lineup after missing 43 games this season and his presence was immediately felt as he chipped in 15 points and pulled down a season high 15 rebounds in Houston’s most recent game against the T-Wolves.

Even a freight train stops and this is where the era of domination over the Rockets comes to a screeching halt for LA. Houston is getting back on track and Terrence Jones will contribute both offensively and defensively for the Rockets. DeAndre Jordan will not be able to do it all himself and dominance on the glass will play a role for the Houston Rockets tonight. The Clips are 10-16 ATS in NBA odds in road games this season while the Rockets are 18-10 ATS at home. This is a good revenge spot for Houston and they will get the job done. We are willing to place our NBA pick backing them up.
