The Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies have cashed at a combined 5-2-1 ATS mark in their last four games. Which of these Western Conference rivals will stay hot here?

Saturday’s NBA betting has the foes clashing at FedExForum, with both squads playing the second night of a back-to-back spot.

Grizzlies, Gasol hold off Rocket

Memphis held on for its third straight win in Friday’s 82-78 victory as a 2 ½-point road dog against the Houston Rockets. The Grizzlies led by as many as 19 points, with both squads shooting below 35 percent from the field.

Grizzlies center Marc Gasol notched 15 points and 12 boards, picking up his second double-double in three games. The Barcelona native added five assists and three blocks, while uniting with mate Mike Conley for five steals.

The battle’s combined 160 points plunged beneath the ‘total’ of 195, bringing the UNDER to 7-0 in the Grizzlies’ last two weeks of action. Memphis sank a subpar 5-of-18 free throws, while edged out in rebounds, 51-44.

Clippers, Griffin surge past Hornets

Los Angeles was also victorious in Friday’s action, logging a 96-93 win over the New Orleans Hornets. The Clippers erased a double-digit deficit in the game’s final seven minutes, while failing to collect as nine-point road favorites.

Clippers forward Blake Griffin came away with a team-high 20 points, knocking down 9-of-16 floor shots. Los Angeles’ Chris Paul and Matt Barnes united for 33 points, while adding 14 assists and 10 rebounds, respectively.

The contest’s combined 189 points dipped below the ‘total’ of 192, ending a 4-0 OVER run from the Clipper’s prior week of matchups. Paul added two his side’s six steals, while Los Angeles was outscored in paint points, 48-44.

Back the Grizzlies as home faves opened their NBA odds line with Memphis as a 3 ½-point home favorite, remaining unchanged in mixed early betting. The ‘total’ was first set at 182 ½, with initial UNDER wagers driving the digits south to 181.

I am laying the short number here, adding a ticket on the Grizzlies to Saturday’s sports picks. Memphis is 3-2 ATS in its last five home spots against Western Conference rivals, holding the foes of that span to 87 PPG.

Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph has grabbed 21 boards over his last two games, remaining one of the NBA’s top five rebounders (11.2 RPG). Memphis’ Mike Conley is just a pair of notches behind Chris Paul in steals (2.25 SPG), while Marc Gasol has hit late-season form with 11 blocks among the team’s last three affairs.

The Grizzlies last faced Los Angeles in the second night of a back-to-back, coming away with last month’s 96-85 victory as a six-point road dog. Memphis lit up the Clippers with 54.4 percent field shooting, including a 6-for-12 mark beyond the arc.

Los Angeles has cashed its share of tickets lately, but comes into Memphis with just a 1-7 ATS mark in its last eight matchups against foes with winning records. Look for the Clippers to fall short again here, with Memphis pulling away down the stretch as home ‘chalk.’
