The Nuggets just got pummeled by the Spurs last night and now have to try and bounce back against another elite Western Conference team in the Clippers. Needless to say, the NBA odds are not in Denver's favor tonight.

Odds Overview
Though they're the home team this time around, the Nuggets are still humungous underdogs for tonight's contest. The Clippers are favored by 9.5 points at most of the top sportsbooks we've checked over, and that's a number that seems likely to stay relatively static, as 10 is a key number. It'd be surprising to see the spread go past that point.

If you are wanting to get in on the total with your sports picks, the O/U is at an extremely high number of 216, suggesting we'll be seeing a very high tempo with a lot of offense throughout.

Denver Nuggets
Immediately following the departure of Brian Shaw, the Nuggets did go through a stretch where they played as well as they had all season. However, the train has derailed, especially as of late, as Denver has dropped three in a row and has gone 3-7 over its last 10 games overall.

The struggles reached an all-time high last night in a total collapse against San Antonio last night. The Nuggets never had a chance and ended up losing by 30 on the road. They were out-scored 45-25 in the first quarter and that set the tone for the rest of the game, with Denver never really able to find its footing in the blowout loss.

No one was rested yesterday, but there's a good chance we'll see at least one or two guys sit out for the Nuggets tonight. We expect Danilo Gallinari to sit out, as he hasn't been playing in the second games of back-to-back sets recently. Keep track of the news throughout the day so you're fully informed before making your final NBA picks.

Los Angeles Clippers
Whereas the Nuggets are going through a bad run, the Clippers have been finding their footing, and it couldn't have come at a better time with the playoffs fast approaching.

One night after a close home loss to the Warriors, Los Angeles immediately bounced back by going into Portland and securing an impressive road win, with Chris Paul going off for 41 points and 17 assists. That win means the Clippers are now 8-1 over their last nine games overall, putting them at 50-26 overall. That puts them in the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings.

Having not played since Wednesday, Los Angeles should be fully rested for this matchup with a Denver team that has very little to play for at this point. All signs are pointing towards another big win for the Clippers, and the NBA odds support that expectation.

NBA Pick
This is a tricky game to decipher when it comes to an ATS pick.

On one hand, it's hard to imagine the Nuggets doing much worse than they did yesterday, and they will have the advantage of being back at home. However, the Clippers have been on a terrific run lately and will be more rested. If we had to give a lean in this matchup, we'd recommend laying the points and taking Los Angeles.

Instead of going that route though, we're going to back the OVER in expectation of a potent offensive display from both sides. Both the Clippers and Nuggets rank in the top 10 in PACE (Denver is fourth, LA is 10th), but we mainly like the OVER because of how downright scary Doc Rivers' team has been offensively. The Clippers have scored at least 106 points in eight straight games and are averaging 106.8 points per contest on the season, the second-best mark in the league.

To summarize, we think we'll be seeing a very high-scoring affair and subsequently will recommend the OVER in Denver tonight.
