The Chicago Bulls will put an amazing streak on the line Friday night, as they travel to take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. Which team are we willing to back with our NBA picks, and at what cost?

Let’s take a closer look at the NBA betting lines for this Eastern Conference affair.

Holding the fort

Chicago leads the NBA’s Central Division by 1.5 games over the Indiana Pacers, which is pretty remarkable due to point guard Derrick Rose being out of the lineup for every game due to last year’s knee injury. The Bulls have won five of their last six games, including a 104-88 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks as 1.5-point road underdogs Wednesday night, while going OVER the total for just the second time in seven contests.

Deflating loss

Brooklyn didn’t quite measure up to the defending champions last time out, suffering a 105-85 setback to the Miami Heat as 2.5-point home underdogs, while going UNDER the total for a second consecutive affair. The Nets are 0-2 straight up and against the spread following a home loss by 10 or more points, which is important to consider when making your NBA predictions Friday.

Friday party

A statistic that you should take into consideration before making your NBA picks is that the Bulls have won an NBA record 14 consecutive road games when playing on Friday. Chicago has also compiled a dominating 35-16-1 ATS record on this particular day of the week in its last 52 chances overall.

On the other side, Brooklyn is 8-2 when hitting the floor before the weekend, but has covered the number in just five of those games.

Enjoying their new home

The Nets are 17-8 overall when playing in their new facility, which includes a 13-4 mark versus conference rivals. Brooklyn is 11-12-2 ATS in front of its home fans, while the UNDER is 13-12 in that situation. It’s also important to note that the franchise’s eight-game home winning streak was snapped by Miami last time out.

Prediction

I'm going to recommend that readers back the Bulls as one of their sports picks tonight, as they've tipped off as a favorite in at least the last 10 meetings in this series, which caused me to develop a handicapper line of favoring the Nets by just 1.5 points.
