Los Angeles hosts Milwaukee tonight. Will the Clippers come away with the cashed NBA picks ticket, or will the Bucks stay hot enough to get the money?

The Los Angeles Clippers have cashed with a 4-1 spread record in their last five games, piling in 105.7 PPG in the span’s three home dates. Vinny Del Negro’s crew takes the floor at Staples Center for Wednesday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, who head west after two straight overtime victories.

Clippers, Paul fall short at home

Los Angeles saw a four-game winning streak end with Sunday’s 108-104 setback to the Oklahoma City Thunder, failing to cash as a three-point home favorite. The Clippers trailed by as many 19 points, allowing Oklahoma City to connect from the floor at 47.5 percent.

Clippers guard Chris Paul notched team-highs of 26 points and eight assists, while adding four of his squad’s nine steals. Los Angeles’ Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford united for 40 points, with Griffin logging nine rebounds.

The contest’s combined 212 points leaped above the ‘total’ of 205 ½, ending a 3-0 UNDER streak from the Clippers’ prior trio of matchups. Paul hit a perfect 9-of-9 free throws, while Los Angeles was outscored in paint points, 48-34.

Bucks, Ellis triumph over Jazz

Milwaukee’s latest win came in Monday’s 109-108 overtime victory against the Utah Jazz, while failing to collect as 4 ½-point home ‘chalk.’ Bucks guard Brandon Jennings hit a three-point shot to tie the battle at the end of regulation, 99-99, while finishing with 17 assists.

Milwaukee’s Monta Ellis led his squad’s scoring with 34 points, knocking down 15-of-21 field buckets. Ellis’ mates Larry Sanders and Samuel Dalembert united for 25 boards, while the Bucks were outrebounded, 59-42.

The duel ‘s 217 points needed its extra minutes to jump OVER the ‘total’ of 199 ½. Sanders added six of his side’s 10 blocks, while Ellis and Jennings combined for seven steals.

Back the Bucks as road dogs opened Los Angeles as a 9 ½-point NBA odds favorites, while first posting the ‘total’ at 203 ½. The Clippers are playing the front end of a back-to-back spot, with a visit looming to Denver as part of Thursday’s NBA betting. Milwaukee will have two days off before resuming its road trip against the Golden State Warriors.

I am adding a ticket on the Bucks as road dogs to Wednesday’s sports picks, looking for Ellis and Co. to stay within cashing range. Milwaukee is 3-0 ATS in its trio of road games since the All-Star Break, including a pair of SU wins in Houston and Dallas.

The Bucks have piled in their share of octane, with J.J. Redick scoring double figures in his five games with the team since his trade from the Orlando Magic. Sanders has been the NBA’s top shot blocker (3.2 BPG), logging 11 over his last two games, while Ellis leads the Eastern Conference in steals (2.1 SPG).

Los Angeles is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 home dates, with too high of a premium looming again here. Milwaukee is also looking for some revenge after suffering a 111-85 spanking in December’s home loss to the Clippers.

Look for the Bucks to stay close enough down the stretch to cover for your NBA picks.
