Will the Clippers light it up again here or can the Bobcats stay close as big dogs? Our NBA picks are locked in, and we believe that the odds makers have left us plenty of value in this matchup.

The Charlotte Bobcats have logged a 3-9 spread record in their last 12 games, including a 2-5 ATS mark away from home. Tuesday’s NBA betting has Mike Dunlap’s club opening a road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers, who have put up 107 PPG in their last four affairs at Staples Center.

How have the NBA Championship Future Odds changed now that the All-Star Break is behind us?

Clippers, Butler hold off Jazz

Los Angeles picked up its fifth win in six games with Saturday’s 107-94 victory over the Utah Jazz, cashing as a 9 ½-point home favorite. The Clippers hit 51.3 percent of their field buckets, leading by as many as 21 points.

Clippers forward Caron Butler notched a team-high 21 points, uniting with mate DeAndre Jordan for 17 boards. Los Angeles’ Chris Paul came away with seven assists, while Jamal Crawford and Eric Bledsoe logged two steals each off the bench.

The duel’s combined 201 points jumped beyond the ‘total’ of 198, moving the OVER to a 4-1 mark in the Clippers’ last five games. Los Angeles sank 19-of-24 free throws, while outrebounding the Jazz, 46-39.

Bobcats, Walker outgunned at home

Charlotte logged a third straight loss in Saturday’s 113-99 defeat as a 10-point home dog to the Denver Nuggets. The Bobcats allowed Denver to connect from the floor at a 53 percent clip, while being outscored by the Nuggets in fast break points, 25-13.

Bobcats guard Kemba Walker put up 24 points, while adding five assists and two of his side’s eight steals. Charlotte’s Bismack Biyombo recorded nine boards and two blocks, while mate Byron Mullens was held to a 1-for-9 night of field shooting.

The contest’s combined 212 points lunged above the ‘total’ of 208 ½, making the OVER 2-1 in the Bobcats’ last three games. Charlotte trailed by as many as 20 points, while drilling a subpar 2-of-11 buckets from three-point land.

Back the Clippers as large ‘chalk’

NBA odds makers have opened Los Angeles as a 15-point home favorite, while first setting the ‘total’ at 199. Early NBA betting on the Clippers and UNDER moved the numbers to 15 ½ and 198 ½.

I am tailing the initial ‘steam,’ adding Los Angeles to my NBA picks in this spot. The Clippers are 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings with Charlotte, holding the Bobcats to 88.8 PPG in the stretch’s most recent four duels.

Charlotte has failed to cash in its last three spots as a double-digit underdog, coming away with a sparse 76.5 PPG in the span’s pair of road affairs. The Bobcats rank last in the league for field shooting at 42 percent, including a 41.3 percent mark on the road.

Los Angeles is in position for a blowout win here, cashing with a 21-8 spread record in its last 29 games that came after a spot of scoring 100 points or more. The Clippers have been finding the balance among their roster, knocking down field buckets in their home jerseys at 48.4 percent and ranking among the league’s top five clubs in defense (94.1 PPG allowed).

Look for Paul and Co. to put this one away early for one last statement win at home before heading east for a two-game road trip.
