The Boston Celtics have a bit of revenge on their minds as they attempt to even the season series with the lowly Charlotte Bobcats as they host the NBA’s worst team tonight.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm ET on Saturday at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

5 Dimes Sportsbook lists the Celtics as a 15.5 point betting odds favorite and the total for the game is 188.

Sweet Revenge!

Charlotte snapped a 10 game losing streak when they defeated the Celtics on Tuesday, 100-74. It was Charlotte’s most lopsided win in 3 years. The Celtics decided to sit Paul Pierce and that large in part contributed to their defeat.

The Celtics are currently on a 10 game home winning streak and this could ugly!

Leaving Pierce and Garnett Out of the Equation….

We basically know what the Truth and the Big Ticket bring to the table every night; it’s the remaining players that will have a major influence on the remainder of the season.

Boston has integrated newcomers Courtney Lee, Jordan Crawford, and Jason Terry into the offense and after the Rondo injury, this team has been on a tear and finally built some chemistry.

Terry will never be the player that he once was when he won a championship with Dallas, but he brings a lot to the table in regards to experience, a positive attitude, the ability to shoot the 3-ball, and depth to the point guard position.

Jordan Crawford is finally starting to get some “PT” and is showcasing his offensive skills that made him a key component to the Washington Wizards offense.

In his last 2 games, Crawford is averaging 26 minutes and 13 points per game. This is a player with a major upside if head coach Doc Rivers can get him on the court in a group full of veterans.

Jeff Green

Jeff Green is finally starting to play like the Celtics expected to when they got him from the OKC Thunder. He’s finally getting his confidence back, along with extra playing time, and will be a key piece for the future.

In his last 10 games, Green is averaging 14.7 points and 4.1 rebounds. He’s coming off of a 20 point performance in the victory over Toronto and can go for 20 in any game.

NBA’s Worst

The Charlotte Bobcats currently sport the NBA’s worst record at 14-51. They’ve lost their last 6 road games by an average of 22.6 points per game. The Bobcats will need a repeat performance from Gerald Henderson, who lit the Celtics up for a career high 35 points when the Bobcats broke their losing streak, but it’s highly unlikely that they’ll get this kind of production.

Kemba Walker

Without Kemba Walker, would this team have even won 5 games this season? The Bobcats have a few capable players, but Walker is the one consistent go to guy that won’t disappoint this franchise during a time of despair.

Walker is averaging 17.2 points, 5.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 2 steals per game this season. He’s also coming off of a 20 point game in a loss to Toronto.

Walker has been a winner ever since his days at UCONN and this is one player that Boston will need to contain because he has the ability to keep the Bobcats in the game.

Boston was embarrassed when they held Paul Pierce out in their last game versus the Bobcats. Tonight, Pierce will be playing and the Celtics will lay a beating on this defenseless team. 15.5 points may seem like a lot to lay on your NBA betting ticket, but this is the Bobcats that we’re talking about.
