Coming off a little rest we should see the Jazz focused in against a Clippers team they know they can beat. NBA odds makers have made this game close to a pick, but I like the Jazz to win against the Clippers.

NBA Pick: Jazz +127

Best Line Offered: at Pinnacle

Betting Odds
NBA odds makers have made Utah +2.5 underdog like at Pinnacle -105, but the best play for me will be taking them on the money line at the best odds. This is an interesting line considering the fact Utah beat Los Angeles in Los Angeles just one month ago. What makes it even more so is that Los Angeles is coming off a back to back. It seems to me odds makers have made this line mostly due to the fact that Rudy Gobert is still out which does hurt Utah's interior defense.  All that being said for one of my NBA picks today I will be backing the Utah Jazz on the moneyline at the best odds.

Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles is averaging 102.4 points per game while shooting 45.6% from the field, and allowing 101.2 points per game on 43.6% shooting from the field. This Los Angeles team is still a puzzle to me because sometimes they can look brilliant and sometimes just awful. Most importantly for me though is that they have yet to rise up and beat anyone of significance this season with their best opportunity two games ago versus Oklahoma City. Offensively they have been sufficient so far and are shooting the ball well inside the arc averaging 50.2% on their two-point shots. Surprisingly though they're only averaging 37.4 points in the paint per game which ranks 28th in the league.

They don't shoot free throws particularly well, let me change that statement, they are terrible at the stripe averaging just 67.6% which is second to last in the league.  They are at least moving the ball pretty well averaging 22.8 assists per game which ranks ninth in the league. Defensively they have been good but not great and rank around the top 10 to 15 in most defensive categories. Notably they are allowing just 47.9% in opponent effective field-goals, and just 20.5 opponent assist per game, both rank eighth in the NBA.

Utah Jazz
The last seven games have been no picnic for the Utah Jazz having to face the Thunder twice, Spurs, and Golden State Warriors in that stretch. Things don't get much easier for them tonight against a talented Los Angeles Clippers team.

Utah is averaging 97 points per game while shooting 44% from the field, and allowing 97.2 points per game on 44.9% shooting from the field. Without Gobert they have struggled a little bit, but they did win two of their last three at home beating Denver and Phoenix. Offensively they have not been very good this season, however they do have five guys averaging double figures led by Gordon Hayward. For most of their offensive statistics they rank towards the bottom of the league like in shooting percentage, and efficiency, however they do shoot the three pretty well at 36.3% which ranks sixth in the NBA.

Defensively is where the Jazz are getting it done and they rank first in the NBA in opponent points in the paint and opponent assist per game. The points in the paint might be an issue this game, again with their main defensive inside presence out, still this is an overall good defensive unit. Utah will do their best to control the pace like they have done all season allowing just 77.8 opponent field-goal attempts per game which ranks first in the NBA.

With the only key injury being with Utah that might be the difference in tonight's matchup. Still, they are at home and are catching the Clippers off a back to back. Utah is a good defensive team and seems to always play Los Angeles very hard. For one of your NBA picks expect them to bring some intensity tonight and pull off the victory.
