With so many question marks on the injured Mavericks, NBA odds have made them a pretty large home underdog to the Thunder tonight. Will they find a way to pull off a shocking upset against Thunder?

NBA odds boards have come out making Dallas a +8.5 underdog like at Pinnacle Sports -107. For my NBA pick today, I will back the Mavericks at home to give OKC some trouble again and make this game more interesting than people might anticipate. Check ot the statistics and betting lines for tonight's match.

Dallas Mavericks
In game two, Dallas shot 43% from the floor and just over 26% from distance but defensively had OKC turn the ball over 15 times. The turnover statistic is not too surprising considering that was about the average the Thunder had all season which had somewhat to do with the tempo they push.

What was very surprising was the victory by Dallas at OKC which no one could have predicted after their game one shellacking on the road. They did not shoot the ball particularly well but defensively they did an excellent job across the board and were assisted by some pretty poor shooting by OKC.

This is a veteran team that I thought showed considerable character by shrugging off that game one and coming in with a good defensive plan for game two. Although I am sure the Thunder have been watching film and will be more than ready to take on and beat Dallas in Dallas I am banking on the Mavericks to have their key players ready to go to make this a tight contest.

Oklahoma City Thunder
In game two, OKC shot just 34% from the field and 22% from distance going 7-32 from beyond the arc. This was a pretty ugly game from start to finish and OKC shot about the worst they have all season. It seemed like the Mavericks were a bit more physical across the board which is what was to be expected with a team of veterans and solid head coach.

What might be a bit concerning for OKC was they got the tempo they wanted getting up 92 shot attempt but they just didn’t seem to be in rhythm all night. This team is so talented though I highly doubt they are in any kind of panic mode and should come in confident against a banged up Mavericks team believing they can win one in Dallas.

I anticipate they will do just that at least one game but the spread is a bit large even when gravitating to the fact that Kevin Durant will have a big bounce back game. Dallas is tough though and should stay within the number.

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3011086, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,93,92,238,169,349], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]
Free NBA Pick: Dallas Mavericks +8.5 (-105)
Best Line Offered: at Pinnacle
