One of the hottest NBA picks right now is the Hawks. Tonight they travel to Toronto for a matchup with the Raptors. Last time, the Hawks lost by eight points here. Will they get some revenge?

Odds makers have Atlanta as a +1.5 underdog like at Heritage -105. This line seems a little low considering they lost by eight the last time in Toronto but for one of my NBA picks I will back the Hawks plus the points. They are playing very well right now and can win this game.

Atlanta Hawks Overview
Atlanta averages 102.9 points per game, ranks sixth in the NBA in effective field-goal percentage, and has won nine of their last 10 games. This is a team that is playing extremely good basketball right now and they should be fired up to get some revenge against Toronto at Toronto where they lost a few weeks back. In that contest statistically the game was really even but the Raptors edged out Atlanta winning the game by eight points. Tonight though, I like the Hawks to possibly pull off the upset so I will grab the small points but look for a win from the Hawks.

Atlanta seems to be really clicking right now on offense as they average 25.7 assists per game which ranks second in the league and rank fourth and sixth in the NBA in two point shooting and shooting efficiency respectively. Much like Toronto they don't push the tempo all that much but rely on making the extra pass and taking open looks. On the other side of the ball they also have some really strong statistics ranking first, second, and third in the NBA in opponent overall shooting percentage, opponent effective field-goal percentage, and opponent shooting efficiency respectively. This is a good spot for Atlanta to pull a minor upset and have the NBA odds lines in their favor.

Toronto Raptors Sneak Peek
Toronto allows 98.5 points per game defensively which ranks fifth in the NBA and they rank fourth in both opponent field goals attempted and made per game. The other night I took Toronto at home versus Oklahoma City much to my chagrin as they simply could not contain the Thunder. Although they didn't play great in that contest this is still a very good Toronto team that has relied a lot more this year on pace and defense to be more competitive this season in the Eastern Conference. Bouncing back tonight from that loss will be no easy task against an Atlanta team that is really rolling right now.

Last time these two met up Toronto held Atlanta to under 43% shooting from the field and just 30% from beyond the arc. Those numbers are a bit lower than the Hawks season average on the road of 45% from the floor in just over 34% from distance. As well, Toronto shot very well at over 46% in that game which is above their season average. With the way Atlanta has been playing lately I expect a reversal of fortune of these statistics with Atlanta shooting the ball better and defensively holding Toronto to a reasonable number. This game has all the makings of going down to the wire so I will grab the points.
