Each day the LT Profits Sports Group seeks out a total that simply does not add up and therefore offers the most value that day. Here is their Total Value Play of the Day for Tuesday.

There could be a higher scoring game than the posted total implies Tuesday night in a national TV game that is huge for one of the participants when the playoff bound Washington Wizards (46-34, 17-22 away) pay a visit to the much more desperate Indiana Pacers (37-43, 22-18 home) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN at 8:05 ET in a game televised nationally on TNT.

The posted total at Pinnacle Sports is 192 for this contest with the current odds on the ‘over’ set at -105.

Pacers now Control Their Own Destiny
The Pacers have now won five straight games with the last four wins coming since the belated seasonal debut of Paul George after he broke his leg while scrimmaging with Team USA last summer. And Indiana got some much needed help when the Brooklyn Nets lost at home to the Chicago Bulls on Monday, meaning that the Pacers now control their own destiny as they would get the last playoff spot in the East with wins here and then Wednesday at Memphis.

The Wizards have no real concerns as not only are they safely in the playoffs but that are also locked into the five-seed in the East. Having nothing to gain or lose has not stopped Washington from playing better basketball lately as the Wizards have been the winning NBA picks in five of their last six games. That makes this perfect timing to heat up again after Washington hit a rather extended lull around mid-season.

Better Offense since Paul George Returned
Not only are the Pacers undefeated in their four games since George returned, but they have also been improved offensively in those contests, topping 100 points on all four occasions while averaging 109.3 points following a 116-104 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. George contributed eight points and six rebounds in that last win and is averaging 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists while averaging just 14 minutes in his four games.

The ‘over’ went 3-1 in those games and it improved to a rather surprising 44-35-1 in all Indiana games this season despite the Pacers ranking only 24th in points scored with 97.5 per game and fourth in points against at 97.1 per contest. Note that combined total score of 194.6 points is already slightly higher than this posted total and that the points for now gets a bump with George back.

Wizards Now Shooting Better
The Wizards’ extended recent slump was mainly due to erratic shooting and they had a recent seven-game stretch with they averaged 93.0 points on 41.0 percent shooting before their April 1st meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the calendar flipping over to April was apparently just what the Wizards needed as that game began the current 5-1 run and the shooting has picked up considerably with Washington averaging 105.2 points in the five wins.

That leaves Washington in the middle of the pack of the NBA offensively in 17th with 98.5 points per game and it has been good defensively ranking ninth in points against at 97.6 per contest. Again though, that combined average of 196.1 points is good enough for an ‘over’ here and, like the Pacers, the Wizards have been on an upswing offensively as of late.

All Three Meetings This Season Have Gone ‘over’
This is the fourth meeting between these clubs so far this season and all three meetings thus far have gone ‘over’ the total. Also, the ‘over’ is 6-1 in the Pacers’ last seven home games overall.

Look for those ‘over’ trends to continue here when Washington pays a visit to Indianapolis on Tuesday.
