The Thunder will have to do some changes to come out of San Antonio with a win this series. NBA Odds have the Spurs a bigger favorite than they were in game one. Will the Thunder bounce back?

OKC has come out as a +7.5 -110 underdog on NBA Odds. I recommend to grab the points with the Thunder and look for them to play much better in game two. I have San Antonio to win the series but this should be a closer game than most people anticipate.

OKC Thunder
In game one OKC shot 41.2% from the field and just 26.1% from distance well below their season averages of 47.5% and 35% respectively. They were really out of sorts in game one but what doomed them really was the unreal hot shooting by the Spurs. Neither Kevin Durant nor Russell Westbrook played particularly well going for 16 and 14 points each along with the whole Thunder team who simply could not get into any rhythm.

Hats off to the Spurs defensively but OKC played one of their worst games of the year and they are simply too talented and well coached to have back to back stink bombs in my opinion. Defensively they could not get a stop but on the season they have been good ranking in the top ten in all defensive shooting percentage categories and fifth in opponent shooting efficiency. They lacked getting into the tempo that they wanted and simply shot poorly all night.

On the season they have been one of the top offensive teams and I expect a big bounce back game from them. The main issue might just be mental in that can they come in mentally ready from such a beating. I believe they can and will play the Spurs much tighter this game two.

San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs in game one shot an unbelievable 60% from the floor and from distance as well as out-rebounding the Thunder 43-38. Don’t get me wrong I love this team and what they are about from their coaching to the defense and I believe they will win this game two. However, I am hard pressed to think they will dominate like they did in game one against such a talented Thunder team.

They got some momentum going and the game was basically over by halftime, it happens in all sports sometimes. In this game two I expect their shooting percentages to go down somewhat and for Durant and Westbrook to play much better. What should have people shaking their heads a little bit is the line that only went up one point in comparison to the line of game one.

Odds makers are well aware OKC is not the type of team to take a beating and then come out the next game allowing the other team to do the same thing over again. The Spurs are the best defensive teams in the league and one of the most efficient on the offensive side as well they basically do not lose at home. For the NBA pick, we wager they win this game but OKC keeps it close.
