There are only two weeks left before the start of the NBA season. BetOnline sportsbook has released their future odds for all six NBA divisions and I am back to give you my best play in what could be the division with the best value in the NBA Future Odds this year.

 Atlanta Hawks

It’s hard to argue with the Atlanta Hawks to win this division. Over the offseason, they lost Al Horford but made up for it by bringing in home-town, Dwight Howard back to the town that made him the first overall pick. Dennis Schroder is actually a slight upgrade with Jeff Teague leaving town via a trade, but while their starting lineup is pretty good, the rest of their depth is a bit suspect.

The Hawks don’t have much bench depth, but if they can get a fully recovered Jarrett Jack and contributions from other veterans like Thabo Sefolosha, this team should be the best in the division. However, the gap between them and the rest of the teams in the Southeast is not very big.

Free NBA Pick: Hawks +180

Washington Wizards

The Wizards have become a slightly overvalued team, but they certainly have some of the most upsides in the division. If they can stay healthy they have the young legs and the depth to take over this division.

However, Bradley Beal can’t stay healthy, John Wall is coming off two knee surgeries this summer and their elder statesman is Marcin Gortat. While Gortat has been to the NBA Finals once, he is also coming into a year where he will be 32 years-old, so the decline might start for the Polish Hammer. In the end, I can’t rely on them.

Free NBA Pick: Wizards +220

Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets are probably the most interesting team in this division. Kemba Walker had a huge breakout season last year where his efficiency shot way up and he turned into one of the best two-way point guards in the game.

Behind him, the Hornets brought back Nicolas Batum and if he is healthy, he, Walker and the rest of this Hornets team look like an extremely good value to win the Southeast.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist might also be healthy for the first time in two seasons this year and with bench additions like Marco Belinelli and Roy Hibbert, the Hornets are deeper than the two teams ranked ahead of them in the future odds. Don’t sleep on them, as they are my favorite NBA pick for the crown.

Free NBA Pick: Hornets +275
Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have gone through it this summer. The big three era is gone and behind is left a core of Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic and not much else. They are 9/1 for a reason and while they are retooling more than rebuilding, it’s going to be a rough year for Miami Heat fans.

Free NBA Pick: Heat +900 Orlando Magic

The Magic are going through a rebuild with bringing in Scott Brooks and a lot of new pieces. Gone is Victor Oladipo and in comes Serge Ibaka, Bismack Biyombo and Jeff Green to make for a more defensive unit. The Magic aren’t much of a threat to make the playoffs, but they are slightly undervalued here in the futures from BetOnline, so that may lead to them being undervalued in the NBA Odds once the season starts.

Free NBA Pick: Magic +900
