After blowing out the Lakers on Wednesday in Oakland, the Golden State Warriors now travel to Los Angeles to complete the home-and-home. NBA odds opened with the Warriors at -12.5. Can Los Angeles keep up with them this time?

Golden State Warriors

On Wednesday against the Lakers, Golden State put up 149 points in shooting over 61% from the field and better than 52% from distance. Everything went perfect for Golden State it shot the lights out and covered the NBA odds by a mile in a 149-106 win. As well, the Warriors had a franchise-record 47 assists, which will likely be unmatched for some time by any NBA team.

However, I think the Warriors are being made just too big of a favorite in this spot with the Lakers, who have been playing well otherwise this year and will have some serious revenge on their mind. Golden State is starting to come around and look like the NBA championship team that people predicted when Kevin Durant came over. The Warriors rank first offensively in points per game, effective field-goal percentage, shooting efficiency and overall shooting percentage. All that being said, defensively they have been less than stellar in ranking in the bottom part of the league in opponent overall shooting percentage and efficiency.

Los Angeles Lakers

On Wednesday, the Lakers shot just 43% from the field but did shoot 40% from distance and got up 93 attempts, which is a good tempo for them. I think people are forgetting the fact that while Golden State was well-rested in that game, Los Angeles was coming off a back-to-back after an emotional last-second win vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. Then the Lakers had to travel to Oakland and take on the hottest team in the NBA. Simply put, it was a recipe for disaster and Golden State completely took advantage of the situation on NBA picks.

Although Los Angeles has not been playing a lot of defense, I do believe its offense can reasonably keep the team in this game. The Lakes rank fourth in the league in overall shooting percentage, and fifth in shooting efficiency and effective field-goal percentage. Golden State might come into this game a little bit overconfident because of the blowout the other night, but this is a sound Los Angeles team ready for payback.
