The Atlanta Hawks opened as 2.5-point favorites on NBA odds for Wednesday night's matchup at Indiana. But the Pacers could be betting favorites by game time with some positive injury news for two of their best players.
Indiana (7-8) was crushed 120-83 at home by Golden State on Monday the worst home loss in Pacers history. Not a huge shock considering Indiana's two most talented players, All-Star forward Paul George and starting center Myles Turner, sat out with injuries. With their status up in the air, that's why the Pacers opened at +2.5 vs. Atlanta even though the Hawks (9-5) are on a three-game losing streak.
The spread is down to a pick'em at some of SBR's best sportsbooks as George (left ankle) and Turner (right ankle) have both been upgraded to probable for Wednesday. One guy who remains out, however, is reserve swingman C.J. Miles. The Hawks have no major pending injuries.
With George and Turner in the lineup, I recommend the Pacers on NBA predictions, especially if you can still find a sportsbook where Indiana is still getting points. Indiana won both home matchups with the Hawks last season and has won five of the last seven regular season home games over Atlanta. The home team is 5-0 ATS in NBA betting in the past five in this series.
