It could be the last night we have to make some money off of the NBA Finals because the Cavaliers are +9 underdogs in the NBA Odds in this closeout game. I’m not going to sit here and make the case for either team. Instead, I’m going to use some prop picks from Bovada sportsbook to cushion our playoff bankroll.

Playoff Props Record: 18-18

Golden State Warriors O/U 119 points

We nailed this prop two games ago in Game 3 with the Warriors’ stunning comeback to win. Now we are faced with a slightly higher team total on the over for the Warriors at home in Game 5.

Right now for this series, the Warriors are averaging over 119 points per game. They are averaging fewer than 119 for the playoffs and they are averaging 118.3 at home, so you get that this number is pretty sharp from the sportsbooks either way.

However, this being a closeout game and after watching the Cavaliers absolutely torch the Dubs in Game 4 at home, I think karma is about to strike the Cavs.

Cleveland shot three-pointers with deadly efficiency, but that could easily happen tonight too. I think the Warriors will be ready for the aggressive traps from the Cavs tonight and I could see Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant taking the bull by the horns and lassoing him into submission.

As long as the Warriors can control that bull named Lebron James and maybe get some of their shots to fall that didn’t over the last couple of games, this is goodnight time for James and company and I think the Warriors do it in style. My NBA props picks reflect this sentiment.

J.R. Smith O/U 9 points

J.R. Smith may be one of the most misunderstood players in the NBA, or he might just be a complete knucklehead. Either way, he has found his stroke over the last two games and he is heading back into Oakland hopefully with the same mentality of shooting the ball and shooting it a lot.

Smith has been lights out from deep all throughout the playoffs and with guys like James and Kyrie Irving creating space for him, he is bound to have some open shots. Even with a tough defender like Klay Thompson on him, I see Smith continuing to chuck.

Why not? He obviously has the green light and the dude is 10-for-19 from distance over his last two games and he is shooting nearly 46 percent from downtown in the playoffs; these odds are too good to pass up. FREE J.R SMITH!
