The last two games have been murderous on our bankroll, but have no fear because after a couple of days rest I am back to revitalize the NBA Picks for Sunday with a couple of props from Bovada sportsbook.

Playoff Props Record: 17-15

Klay Thompson O/U 17 ½ points

Bovada must have a love affair with Klay Thompson. I understand he is a handsome man, but his chances of scoring 18 or more points tonight are slim.

Kevin Durant has taken over as the number one option on offense and with Stephen Curry playing well and Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala chipping in, there isn’t much room for Thompson to go off. Unless he hits his first three or four shots and they keep feeding him, he won’t be able to have a big scoring day.

The biggest reason for that has been his playoff usage rate. Thompson’s usage rate is just over 20 percent this postseason, well below that of Curry and Durant. With stronger defenders like Iman Shumpert to throw at Thompson, the Cavs can limit his effectiveness as long as they aren’t double teaming Durant or Curry at any given time.

While Thompson has been more effective at home, his disappearing act in the playoffs behind the three-point line makes this an easier play for me to recommend. Thompson is shooting just 30.2% from the three-point line over his last nine playoff games.

Free MLB Pick: UNDER 17 ½ (-125)Best Line Offered: at Bovada

Kevin Durant O/U 6 ½ made free throws

Ironically, Lebron is also at 6 ½ free throws tonight in Game 2 and while James shot more free throws than Durant in Game 1, at least Durant doesn’t miss as many as James.

That makes this a value in my eyes, especially when you see the outrageous juice on the over for James at -165 and look at a better shooter’s over juice of -115 in Durant at 6 ½ free throws.

Durant is a deadly shooter, but him getting to the free throw line is going to be much needed in this one if the Cavs counterpunch after Game 1. Durant has been masterful at getting to the free throw line all year as a member of the Warriors. After going 7-for-8 in Game 1 of this series,

Durant is averaging nearly seven made free throws per game over his last five playoff games. He has seven or more made freebies in four of his last five games.

Free MLB Pick: OVER 6 ½ (-115)Best Line Offered: at Bovada
