By The Numbers is a daily NBA column featuring three top selections according to historical trends and game-time matchups. Let’s review the top picks for Friday evening and cash in our NBA picks.

Bucks (20-21 SU, 18-23 ATS) At Magic (17-27 SU, 19-24-1 ATS)

  • Orlando is 4-13-1 ATS in their last 18 home games.

  • Orlando is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a home underdog.

  • Orlando is 1-4 ATS in their last five games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.

  • Orlando is 1-5 ATS in their last six games as a home underdog of 0.5-4.5.

  • Orlando is 0-4 ATS in their last four when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.

  • Orlando is 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

  • Milwaukee is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5.

  • Milwaukee is 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points.

This might look like a pick-your-poison matchup at first glance, but the Bucks are primed for an easy cover as the Magic have sustained recent injuries to shooting guard and top scorer Evan Fournier (heel, questionable) as well Jodie Meeks (out 4-6 weeks).

NBA Free Pick: Bucks -3

Kings (16-25 SU, 19-21-1 ATS) At Grizzlies (25-19 SU, 22-22-2 ATS)

  • Memphis is 1-5 ATS in their last six games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5.

  • Memphis is 2-5 ATS in their last seven when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.

  • Memphis is 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a home favorite of 5.0-10.5.

  • Sacramento is 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5.

  • Sacramento is 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5.

  • Sacramento is 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games following a straight up loss.

Though it is difficult to devote one of your NBA picks to a team that is a cellar-dweller and one that has lost outright and failed to cover the NBA odds over its past three, we must also look at the trends in this matchup and give notice that the Grizzlies have lost and failed to cover the number in three of their last four games. The Kings also defeated the Grizzlies back in December in Memphis by the score of 96-92 as five-point road dogs. Here they catch an extra 2½ points, which makes them a dog with some bite.

NBA Free Pick: Kings +7.5

Pacers (22-19 SU, 18-23 ATS) At Lakers (15-31 SU, 19-26-1 ATS)

  • LA is 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a straight up loss.

  • LA is 0-4 ATS in their last four after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

  • LA is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS loss.

  • Lakers are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.

  • LA is 0-5 ATS in their last five games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game.

  • Indiana is 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win.

  • Indiana is 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win.

  • Indiana is 5-1 ATS in their last six when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.

This will be the third meeting between these teams this season, and though the Pacers have won both on their home court, they failed to cover the number. However, in this road contest the point spread is significantly lower than the previous two games where Indiana had to lay 12½ and nine points at home, respectively, which should allow them to cash for their backers tonight.

NBA Free Pick: Pacers -3
