The Bulls have looked good so far this season with their new faces in the lineup while New York has struggled out of the gate. Can the favorite Chicago Bulls dominate the Knicks tonight? Here's our NBA Pick.

NBA sides record: 2-9

NBA totals: 19-19

New York Knicks

New York comes in 1-3 on the season averaging just 96.8 points per game which ranks them 27th in the NBA. So far they have not looked very good on either side of the ball and currently rank in the bottom third of the league in most offensive categories. What is troubling right now though is their defense isn't there allowing 110.2 points per game with teams shooting over 46% against them so far this season. As well, opponents are shooting almost 40% from beyond the arc and New York ranks dead last in the league in opponent total rebounds per game allowing just over 60 per contest. Of course the season is still young and this team is still getting acclimated to their personnel and I like some of their matchups tonight. A note as well is along with their defensive woes New York has not been shooting the ball particularly well currently at just 43% overall which ranks 21st in the league.  This could however change tonight against a less than stellar Chicago defense.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago is 3-1 on the season but have been scoring at a torrid pace of 110.2 points per game which ranks them fourth in the NBA. Much like last year this is a Chicago team that wants to get up and down the floor but what has impressed me so far is their very efficient shooting from distance as they are averaging just over 40% which ranks third in the NBA. With their quick tempo they have been doing an ok job ranking right in the middle of the league in opponent shooting percentage at 44.7%. Defensively for them to be a serious contender in the East though I believe they're going to have to do a little bit of a better job than their current statistics. The vast difference between these two teams tonight outside of the pace will be on the boards where New York has really struggled rebounding the ball, as mentioned, while Chicago ranks third in the league in total rebounds, and first in the league in opponent's rebounds per game.  Still, I think the lack of defense by the Bulls could hurt them tonight and the Knicks have won the last two games these two have matched up.

NBA odds

Oddsmakers have Chicago as a -6.5 favorite across the board at -110. For my NBA pick I'm going to take the Knicks plus the points and fully expect for them to take this game to the wire.
