We start off the week with a bang on a Monday that's highlighted by the Clippers' showdown with the Spurs. Check out our NBA odds rundown for the day.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Covered by Jason Lake

The Spurs have picked up right where they left from last season, having blitzed out to a 19-4 SU record. They're 10-2 on the road and will try to get another win tonight inside Staples Center against Chris Paul and the Clippers.

L.A. just returned home after a seven-game road trip in which they went 5-2 SU (4-3 ATS). However, Jason thinks the value is on the Spurs (-1.5) in this NBA betting situation and will take the road team to win this Western Conference heavyweight affair.

NBA Pick: Spurs -1.5

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Atlanta Hawks

Covered by Jason Lake

Let's see if the Lakers can keep it going after getting their first win since the return of Kobe Bryant. He had his best game of the season, approaching a triple-double in a come-from-behind win over Charlotte. The Black Mamba should get better and better from here on out as he continues to find his legs.

Tonight the NBA odds are in Atlanta's favor though as the Hawks are giving away five points on their home floor. Considering the Hawks have the clear advantage inside with the combo of Al Horford and Paul Millsap, we don't blame Jason for thinking they'll cover the number in a home win.

NBA Pick: Hawks -5

Utah Jazz vs. Miami Heat

Covered by Jeff Grant

The Heat recovered after a loss to Indiana to beat Cleveland by seven at home. Miami is now 10-2 SU at home for the year, though they're just 4-8 against the spread coming into this encounter with the young Jazz.

Winners of two of three, Utah has looked better lately, but this team still has a long way to go. It's no surprise that Jeff believes Miami is the right side here, as they should be able to control the game from the opening tip en route to a comfortable win.

NBA Pick: Heat -12.5

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Boston Celtics

Covered by David Lawrence

What a job Brad Stevens has done in his first season as an NBA coach. He has the Celtics playing hard each and every game and his level of preparation and attention to detail has shone through in Boston's surprise start to the season.

The Celtics are going to be up against it tonight though. Kevin Love is a handful for any team, which is why the Timberwolves are small (-1.5) favorites here on the road. Still, Boston has gone 7-4 over their last 11 and David is of the opinion they can give Minnesota a run for their money.

NBA Pick: Celtics +1.5

Orlando Magic vs. Chicago Bulls

Covered by Steven Suarez

Neither of these teams have impressed much this season, especially the Bulls. We get that losing Derrick Rose (again) is a killer blow, but Chicago still managed to play good basketball without their point guard on the floor last year. The Bulls just haven't been able to get into any kind of rhythm offensively.

Tom Thibodeau's team, however, is still the clear favorite at home over Orlando tonight. The Magic made an admirable comeback attempt last night against Oklahoma City and I think they can carry that over. With that said, I'm taking the points and predicting a cover for Orlando for our free NBA picks.

NBA Pick: Magic +7
