In this article, we will take a look at what lines have the best value right now. There are a ton of different options available depending on where you shop. For now, we’re going to focus on futures because even though there are game lines available now, we’re still several weeks from tip off.

Dallas Mavericks Regular Season Wins Total

Over at 5Dimes, the Dallas Mavericks win total is set at Over 4.5 wins at -105. I think that’s great value and it’s actually the best price you’ll find for any of the available win totals in my opinion. The Mavericks will play 8 regular season games against the following teams: Suns (twice), Kings, Blazers, Jazz, Rockets, Clippers, Bucks. I’ll go ahead and give them losses to the Bucks and Clippers even though we know anything can happen. I think they beat Phoenix twice, and win their games against the Kings and Blazers. The games against the Rockets and Jazz will be tough but I can see them winning both as well. All of this is speculation of course because we have no idea what these teams will look like three weeks from now.

What we can do is try and make educated guesses. I need Dallas to win 5 out of 8 games in a situation where they are 2.5 games behind Utah who are in 4th place in the west. That means those games against the Jazz and Rockets that I mentioned are essentially like playoff games. I also like the fact that the Mavs are rested. We know about Porzingis coming back from an ACL and the fact that he will need time to get back to his physical best. I imagine that a few months off was a good thing for his knee. I’m excited to see how he looks with the extra time to get his body back to where it was before his devastating injury. Luka Doncic has had some injury issues of his own this season. While he hasn’t missed any significant time, repeated injuries can take their toll and I expect him to look refreshed after the time off. I think Dallas -4.5 at -105 is a line that you should attack now.

Bucks to Not Win the East

Hear me out on this one before you judge this pick. I’m not saying that the Bucks won’t win the east. They should go to the Finals but the question is are they a lock? In my opinion, not exactly. I think that they will probably do it but the thing is, I need to see it first. I’ll put this in a different way. Regardless of how good you think Milwaukee is, would it be shocking if they lost to the Raptors or Celtics in the playoffs? I would be very surprised but I wouldn’t be shocked. As unlikely as it would be for the Sixers to beat the Bucks in a 7 game series right now, I’m not even sure that would be shocking. Again, I consider the Bucks the favorites but 5Dimes is offering good value on the NBA Odds for the rest of the east.

Right now you can get the Bucks at -178 to win the East or the Field at +157. I’m just saying, I like the Raptors, Celtics, and Sixers at +157 better than I like Milwaukee at -178. If you watch Jammin With Jay Money (Monday to Saturday 1 pm eastern on SBR’s YouTube channel), you’ll know that the Bucks are the team I’ve cashed in on the most and it’s not even close. I say that so you know they aren’t a team I don’t take seriously. My problem with them remains the same. They have one superstar and it’s not easy to win a title that way. The Raptors did it last year, but I’m not convinced Giannis is on Kawhi’s level. He is in the regular season, but the playoffs are a different beast. We saw the Raptors shut Giannis down last season in the playoffs and I think that both Nick Nurse and Brad Stevens are two of the best coaches in the NBA. I can see both of them coming up with a game plan that could make life difficult for the reigning league MVP. If you don’t think the Bucks are going to the Finals, you need to attack this +157 line right now.
