The Miami Heat Can
They’ve already won once in San Antonio. The Heat are the two-time defending champs. It’s not likely that they’re going to go down without a fight. Although they put up minimal resistance in the last two games, one would think that they’re going to be in desperation mode on Sunday night. The Heat only have themselves to blame for their 3-1 deficit, but the good news is that they can fix it themselves, too.
If they can play better defense, which we know they’re capable of, and provide LeBron James with some offensive help, they’ll have a shot.
The San Antonio Spurs Can Win Because…
They’ve owned the Heat in this series. Aside from one game where the Heat managed to keep the Spurs under wraps, San Antonio’s offense has been on fire. They’re averaging 106 points per game in this series and they are getting a complete, team-wide effort. The Heat simply have no answers. They were crushed in their two games at home and they know it’s over.
Take the Spurs with your NBA picks as this should be the final game.
Outlook & Pick
The Heat are just tapped out. They simply don’t know how to stop this Spurs multi-faceted attack but even beyond that, they aren’t getting the type of effort they need to get the job done. In Games 3 and 4, the Spurs beat them to loose balls, put forth more effort and outworked the Heat. The Spurs are leading the series 3-1 but they’re playing as if they’re down 3-1. This is personal, and it has been since the tip-off in Game 1. San Antonio won’t let this slip out of their grasps.
