Like any other special event, tonight's matchup is filled with betting opportunities. It’s a great night of prop betting picks for the NBA All-Star game and I am back with some great action from Bovada!
Not only is Anthony Davis playing in his home arena for the game tonight, but at least to start the game he is going to be used a lot. The East starters are all pretty small, with Giannis Antetokounmpo playing center.
Antetokounmpo is a strong defender, but he will be no match for Davis, who is a few inches taller and probably outweighs the Greek Freak by at least 30 pounds.
This is also an All-Star Game, meaning the defense will be pretty lax. All of this combined should mean that Davis will have at least 20 points tonight. Last season Davis played only 15 minutes in the All-Star Game and dropped 24 points, and I’m assuming that he will have way more minutes than that tonight. Take the over.Free NBA Pick: OVER 19 ½ points (-135) Best Line Offered: at Bovada
Lebron James O/U 12 rebounds and assists
In a game like this, Lebron James is going to turn into the player he wants to be on the Cavaliers. The East’s starters will likely try and play pretty fast against this stacked Western Conference lineup and that will mean James should have plenty of opportunities to grab a rebound and go.
If that’s the case, James should have at least three or four chances of rebounding the ball and leading into an assist on the other end.
James is currently averaging just over 16 rebounds and assists per game in the regular season, so while he likely won’t be playing 40 minutes in this game, he should get enough to run cash the over on this one.
In past All-Star Games, James has done well in the rebounds and assists department. He only had 11 total last season, but he will also play a lot of power forward for the East this season, which should lead to more rebounds. James is averaging 12.5 rebounds and assists in his 12 All-Star Game appearances, so look for the over to cash here as well.Free NBA Pick: OVER 12 (-135) Best Line Offered: at Bovada
Russell Westbrook O/U 20 points
Russell Westbrook is probably going to use this All-Star Game to teach the Warriors a lesson. I understand he is on the same team as his Western Conference rivals, but as we know, Westbrook has one speed. He plays exhibition games hard too and that could mean this prop is also going to fly over.
I also think that if he gets on the court with Durant and company, he will never pass the ball to those guys. Along with that, his All-Star Game performances over the past few seasons have been big shows. He had 31 points last season and the year before that he had 41 points.
I can’t wait for Durant or Draymond Green or someone from Golden State being wide open and Westbrook ignores them as he takes a shot! It’s going to be great, especially for the over on this prop.Free NBA Pick: OVER 20 points (-145)Best Line Offered: at Bovada
