When looking at games involved with the Golden State Warriors it's very important to analyze not only the value but the situation, tonight they face the Wizards, let's check the NBA odds now!

NBA Pick: Wizards +10.5
Best Line Offered: at Pinnacle

NBA odds experts have made Washington a +10.5 underdog and the total around 225. Even for a tremendous team like the Warriors it is not that easy to lay double digits on the road. I expect Washington to put up their fair share of points so for my selection tonight I will back them getting the large number.

Golden State Warriors
Golden State is averaging 115 points per game while shooting 49.1% from the field, and allowing 102.3 points per game on 42.9% shooting from the field. On the season they are very solid 29-18-1 overall against the spread, and a real good 17-8-1 on the road. This team has been involved with many of my picks so far this NBA season, but we have had good success on their games. It's nice to see that Steve Kerr is back at the helm and I honestly don't remember a team that can get as hot as this team does and just absolutely dominate games. That being said this is just too many points tonight, and with OKC coming up I believe this is a good spot to go ahead and fade the best team in the NBA on the road and grab the points. Offensively they rank in the top five in every major offensive category and lead the NBA in shooting efficiency, two and three point shooting percentage, and effective field-goal percentage.  They're also extremely unselfish and lead the NBA averaging 29.3 assists per game. Defensively they are also one of the elite teams in the league and rank second in overall opponent shooting percentage, and opponent effective field-goal percentage. They also lead the league defending beyond the arc allowing opponents to shoot just 31.1% from distance, this will be a point of contention tonight because Washington is a very good three-point shooting team.

Washington Wizards
Washington is averaging 102.2 points per game while shooting 45.5% from the field, and allowing 105 points per game on 47% shooting from the field. On the season they are at 50% at 23-23 overall against the spread, but have not covered as well at home going just 11-14. One of the main issues with Washington is that they haven't been consistently healthy with Bradley Beal out some of the season, but it seems like he is starting to get his groove back. Recently they have lost four of their last five games with two of those on the road at Toronto and OKC. Last year they got crushed at Golden State, but when they hosted them they only lost by seven, and these two teams have a lot of the same personnel. Offensively they have not been many issues for Washington as they rank in the top 10 in some of the most important offensive categories. The Wizards, as mentioned, shoot the three particularly well averaging 36.3% from beyond the arc which ranks sixth in the NBA, and they rank seventh and eighth in field goals made per game and effective field-goal percentage respectively. The issue for them has been on the other side of the ball, and the interesting thing for them is that their statistics actually get worse at home. They rank in the bottom part of the league in most of the essential defensive categories of opponent shooting percentage to opponent field goals made per game. Nevertheless, this is Golden State we are talking about and even the best defenses have problems with them.  I will lean to backing a talented under achieving Washington team to come out and give a maximum effort.

It makes sense for Golden State to be a strong favorite no matter the situation, but tonight this is just too many points against what should be a motivated Washington team. Golden State has shown signs of being less than perfect recently, and the Wizards are good enough scoring team to possibly exploit that keeping this game somewhat close. For one of your NBA picks I recommend grabbing the points with Washington as Golden State looks ahead to their showdown with OKC on Saturday.
