Anthony Davis and the young and talented New Orleans Pelicans (1-1) travel to Memphis to face Marc Gasol and the undefeated Memphis Grizzlies (3-0). Can the Pelicans pull off the upset as the NBA odds underdogs? Find out who we think has the advantage in tonight's matchup.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET tonight at the FedEx Forum in Memphis,Tennessee. You might have to channel flip between Monday Night Football and this game because you have two of the best players playing tonight in this game in the "Unibrow" and Marc Gasol.

Based on the current NBA odds, bookies are expecting this to be a defensive matchup as the Grizzlies are a 4 point betting favorite and the total for the game is a mere 188 points.

In this game, you have a bunch of veterans in the Memphis Grizzlies, that know how to work together as a cohesive unit, against one of the best players in the NBA in Anthony Davis. We are only 3 games into the 2014-2015 NBA Season and can clearly see that Davis is an early candidate for MVP of the league. The question is can Davis' teammates contribute enough to defeat a tough defensive-oriented team such as the Memphis Grizzlies on the road?

The Brow
New Orleans' Anthony Davis continues to prove why he is a dominant force in the NBA. In the first two games of the season, Davis is averaging an eye popping 28.5 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game. If he can maintain numbers such as this, the Pelicans will be a post-season contender and this will be considered one of the greatest seasons of all time since Michael Jordan. Nobody has put up numbers like this before; not even Lebron James. Davis doesn't look like he's slowing down anytime soon.

Tonight will be a huge test for the Brow as he faces the likes of Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. New Orleans will be looking to right the ship as they're coming off of a 109-104 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in which 31 points and 15 rebounds from Davis were not enough to get the win.

The Pelicans are a very talented team. Omer Asik has found a home in New Orleans at the center position, averaging a double-double, Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans are one of the better backcourts in the NBA, and Ryan Anderson is instant offense as a big man coming off the bench for the Pelicans.

The Pelicans will need to put forth their best effort as Memphis leads the NBA, allowing a mere 86.3 points per game. Along with top-notch defense, Marc Gasol has proven that he's progressed as a basketball player and is basically the total package.

The Better Gasol Brother
While Pau Gasol has taken his services to Chicago and has fit in very well, Marc Gasol is in his prime, has offensive capabilities, and is a mountain of a man on the defensive end at 7 foot 1, 265 pounds. When you get guys the size of Randolph and Gasol to clog the middle, it makes it difficult for the opposing team offensively. Add in Mike Conley Jr.and his ability to pick pockets and run an offensive and you have the number 1 defensive in the NBA.

As for Gasol, he's asserted himself more offensively this season. In 3 games ,he's averaging 24.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Memphis is one of those teams that flies under the radar. This could be a sneaky future bet for Division and NBA Championship winner. Great defense wins games and nobody is better than the Grizzlies in protecting the basket.

Expect a highly competitive game with Memphis coming out on the winning end. With that being said, I am looking to place my NBA picks on the Over/Under tonight. 188 is low and Memphis has earned this, but New Orleans has some pure scorers on their team and nobody can totally stop the Unibrow.
