With the way Chicago has been giving up points lately as it starts to play faster, the Houston Rockets are not the type of opponent you want to face. The Bulls are +5 at home tonight, but it’s the total of 221½ that’s a bit more valuable.

Rockets at Bulls

Free NBA Pick: Over 221.5

Best Line Offered: Bovada

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3264002, "sportsbooksIds":[999996,169,1275,180,238], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Even with James Harden on the shelf for the next few weeks, the Rockets are a very dangerous basketball team offensively. Considering the Bulls are playing faster, the Rockets come into the United Center even more dangerous when it comes to getting shots up.

Chicago’s opponents own a 53.1 effective field-goal percentage this season, which ranks 28th in the NBA. Only Sacramento and Phoenix are allowing their opponent’s to shoot better. Not only that, but with the Bulls giving up nearly 110 points per 100 possessions, the Rockets’ pathway to 120 or more points tonight is strong. Houston is posting a 55.6 effective field-goal percentage this season, which is second in the league next to only Golden State.

These two teams have yet to meet in 2017-18, but with the Bulls giving up 122.2 points per game in their last five the Rockets should have no trouble. Houston’s offense does take a dip on the road, but this is a below-average opponent that will have little answer for the pick and roll or the perimeter shooting of the Rockets.

In my estimation, the final is going to be somewhere around 114-109, so add the 'over' to your NBA Picks on Monday night.
