The New York Knicks are coming off a game Sunday afternoon and now they have to head into Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday to meet with the Pacers. The spread is pretty sharp at -10½, but the total is where the value lies tonight.

Knicks vs. Pacers

The Pacers have been a pretty good road team this season, but home is where they like to speed things up and put some pressure on their defensive opponents. Role players like Lance Stephenson and Domantas Sabonis become different beasts when they play at the Fieldhouse, and all of this is going to contribute to a lot of points against the Knicks.

There is also the little matter of Kristaps Porgzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. not being able to play tonight. Both guys didn’t make the trip to Indianapolis, and that is going to hurt the Knicks on both ends. New York is allowing 111.3 points per game in the three Porzingis has missed this season, and coming off the back-to-back they are going to fall apart defensively on the road.

The Knicks are just 2-5 cashing the 'over' on the road this season, but they are giving up 109 points per game away from the Garden and also 12-7 since the beginning of last season cashing the 'over' on no rest. Furthermore, this isn’t a tough matchup for the Knicks on offense. Even without their two best players, they should be able to get close to, if not over, 100 points against this Indiana defense.

The Pacers are allowing nearly 112 points per game over their last five, and they have cashed the over in three of four, and two of their last three home games. I see Indiana throttling New York tonight. A final score of 113-102 or more would not surprise me.
