If you’re looking for a game with a whole lot of fast-paced offense, the Nets and Suns is your game. The NBA odds have the Suns as -1 favorites, with a total of 234½. So you know there will be plenty of scoring.

Nets at Suns

I am really very tempted to take the moneyline with the Nets right now, because even though the Suns aren’t as bad as some people think, they are a young team coming off getting beatdown by the Spurs on Sunday, and I don’t think they can recover from that, even against Brooklyn.

However, the sportsbooks are giving us a gift right now in the first-half total of 113½, and I am all over the over on this line tonight. For starters, both teams are very capable of putting up 120 points on one another as the full-game total suggests, so why can’t we expect them to drop 60 on each other in the first half?

Their first game this season was 59-53 at the half, but neither team shot the ball that well and they still got more than 110 in the first half. I think we see better shooting tonight in Phoenix.

The Suns have scored nearly 55 points per first half in their last five games, and they are allowing nearly 59 in that stretch. This has been against some slower teams too like the Knicks and Spurs, so against the Nets tonight, who are averaging nearly 107 possessions per game, the 'over' will hit if the shots are falling.

The Nets have cashed the full-game 'over' in their last three games, and in those three the average first half combined score was 118 points, which includes their last game against the Suns.
