More NBA action awaits us on Monday night and we've got you covered. Check out our basketball odds report as we try to kick off the week with a bang.

Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets

Covered by Matthew Jordan

The Bulls are on a roll right now and have bullied their way into a tie for the third seed alongside the Raptors. They've won four straight and are 9-1 SU over their last 10 games coming into this battle with the Nets.

Brooklyn has won two in a row themselves and is now just a single game under .500 for the season. Not bad after starting out the year with a 10-21 record.

The Nets are favored by 3 to 3.5 points in the NBA odds for this Eastern Conference showdown and Matthew believes we should lay the chalk and back the home team. He also fancies the look of the OVER.

NBA Pick: Nets -3 and OVER 187

New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons

Covered by Jason Lake

What a mess. And we're not just talking about the Knicks.

New York has dropped six games and are now a full six games back of the final playoff seed in the conference. As for Detroit, they've lost four consecutive matchups and are 16 games under .500 for the season. Pretty embarrassing considering the talent level of both of these teams.

What's the best value pick for tonight's game in Detroit? Jason thinks we'll be seeing little defense once again, leading to a cashed ticket for OVER backers.

NBA Pick: OVER 207.5

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Covered by Jordan Sharp

It's a crazy race in the Western Conference, with numerous teams putting together winning streaks and showing no signs of slowing down. Five teams, including the Trail Blazers, already have over 40 wins on the season.

Tonight Portland hosts the Lakers and is obviously a heavy favorite (-12.5) at the top sportsbooks. Los Angeles won the last time they were on the court but is still a poor 3-7 over their last 10.

Again we have a recommended play on a total, but this time it's on the UNDER. This is a massive number and Jordan believes the final score will fall short.

NBA Pick: UNDER 221

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings

Covered by Matthew Jordan

Even with the return of DeMarcus Cousins from suspension, the Kings couldn't overcome Kevin Love and the Timberwolves at home. That's now three straight losses for Sacramento, who are tied for the conference-worst record of 20-39.

The Pelicans have been even worse lately though, losing seven games in a row to fall to 23-36 on the year. Anthony Davis and company will be getting three to four points for this visit to Sacramento tonight – which way should we go with our NBA picks?

Tough call with these two struggling teams. However, a selection has to be made and Matthew likes the Kings to end the losing streak and cover the spread as well for our basketball picks. He also believes the OVER (204.5) is worth a shot.

NBA Pick: Kings -3 and OVER 204.5

Charlotte Bobcats vs. Miami Heat

Covered by Jeff Grant

Credit Steve Clifford for the work he's done with the Bobcats this season. They're currently occupying the seventh seed in the East and have been excellent defensively. That being said, do they have enough in the tank to stifle the two-time defending champions?

Charlotte has the obvious advantage inside with Al Jefferson, who's been downright unstoppable when healthy. But who will slow down LeBron and D-Wade?

After examining the various angles, Jeff has decided to stay away from the spread (the Heat are favored by 12.5 points) and he's instead banking on the OVER hitting the mark.

NBA Pick: OVER 196.5
